I'm really confused.

I recently sold 25 level 25 dragons, and 19 of them were mass bought by someone then exalted right after. I'm not mad at all, hey that's 5k gems for me, but I'm just super confused as to why someone would do that, given payouts for exalting are around ~50kt at that level.

Do higher level dragons get more "points" for dominance?

Or was this probably a mistake on the buyers part?

Please help clear up confusion.

Higher-level dragons are indeed worth more points for dominance, but it's never cost-effective. I think some extremely rich people do it to cram their lair with as much dominance power as possible, whipping out rows of level 25s at the start of a battle? But you lose major money on it.

I used to train dragons I was hoping wouldn't be exalted to level 25, but it seemed most of them were getting bought for this purpose. I can't complain, since it keeps the price up. Just means you shouldn't stone your level 25s before selling them.

They do get more points but there isn't a dom battle going on right now so it's a bit of strange timing.

I exalted a level 25 during LvP years ago and consider it worth it because that fight was so close we broke the site a bit. But outside of that sort of situation I wouldn't do it.

Yeah there was a "science" dom experiment between light and lightning (I think those were the participating flights) a while ago and it was discovered that a level 25 is worth five level 5s (or, I suppose, 25 level 1s as pointed out above).

The thing is, unless it's the VERY end of a heated push (like minutes left), buying and exalting level 25s isn't worth the money, especially considering you could train five fodder to level 5 in around ten minutes, maybe less

Edit: AND, there isn't any flight that's currently pushing, according to DomWatch at least, which makes this even more confusing

They were all exalted to the Tidelord so I guess Water was doing the push? My friends also said their fodder was getting bought and exalted by Water.

[font=cambria]I'm not against exalting, but this made me really sad because I was just going through your 25 Level 25s thread earlier and there were a lot of pretty dragons that I wish I could've snatched if they hadn't already been bought.. only for them to be exalted [emoji=spiral sad size=1]
