However now that i'm a little less angry, I think it was the fact that were was AUTOMATICALLY flipped once they were bought. I'm not used to having my dragons instantly resold, they usually stay at the buyers den for a while before being exalted or AHed. Guess it was a culture shock?

Somehow reselling's never really bothered me? Granted, it might be because I am a reseller (yes hi hello, i am the anger mans), but mostly I like seeing dragons find homes that love them, dress them, and maybe gene them. If I sell something and it gets resold, which happens a fair bit, then I guess it's going to eventually go to someone who really wants it - if I sell something I thought was pretty and it ends up exalted, then I get that private ':(' moment.

Also, selling dragons at high prices is a pretty big gamble. They'll be taking up your finite lair space and eating your food for a very long time, with no guarantee that anyone will ever buy them. I've had to fodder some of my flock just for total lack of interest, and I have a few that are heading that direction after a few months of stale AH listings. So if somebody's listing a baby for 10x the price you placed it at - either you severely underestimated the market value of that dragon, or they're gonna be waiting a while.

I'm loving that image, though. Great meme potential.

[/quote] I always have a little snicker when someone snaps up a dragon I've just lowered the price on, after having tried to sell it at a higher price for ages. They smack it up for 2-3x the price and I'm just like "good luck with that." People are free to do what they want with what they buy from me. If they think they can sell it for more, all the more power to them. Most of the time they're in for an uphill battle.

Now see I'll do that with g1s but it's more of a "I'm not going to get around to genes for you for like at least 6-8 months, so you can go sit in the AH for a high enough price that if you sell before I get to you, I can be happy about the money instead of sad about losing you" thing.


I don't tend to track the hatchlings I've bred but if somebody wants to flip them I tend to figure it's a compliment to the dragon, somebody thought they were worth more than I did, yay!

You got your treasure so IDK what the deal is TBH.
You got what you wanted for it.

You sold it for a price you were happy with so we don't really get the problem :D
And putting something on the AH for a certain price doesn't mean it'll sell for that. They could be stuck with the dragon for weeks.
If it bothers you maybe wait a bit before checking on your sold dragons or don't check on them at all? :D

Gonna quickly go against the tide of the rest of this chat and say the reason op is angry is because someone bought their dragon and inflated the price tenfold. Like...... op would get 10kt/10g and the relister would be selling it for 100kt/g..... it seems a bit. Sucky.

I don't even know how people do it without seriously paying a really low price for the dragon in the first place. I almost ALWAYS take a loss when re-selling a dragon I fell out of love with because they just don't sell quickly enough for me. I have no idea how people flip them. I only know how to flip fodder.

[/quote] Ok but like,,, there’s zero guarantee that the dragon will sell for the inflated price. And they got what they asked for, no sense in complaining about someone else’s playstyle after the fact. Look at the bright side. If they sell for that higher amount, they’re less likely to become fodder. Also... op.. you said it yourself. It’s not your baby anymore. Why get upset with what people do with their dragons?? Would you rather they become a fodder breeder with an awful name? What about a meme dragon like HONEYNUTCHEERIOS? A dragon with an invisibility cloak, so you can’t even see them? If people doing certain things with [i]their[/i] dragons bothers you... don’t check on them? Or at least wait a while before you do?
