Alright so I've made a thread like this in the past, but I really want to see more of your wholesome flight rising headcannons!
I'll pull a few of my own from my old thread to start us off:
- Faes like to hang out in the fur and feathers of other dragons. If you're soft, you have Faes. No way around it.
- Other dragons will often gift seafood to Ridgies since they hate water so much, and can't really fish for themselves easily
- Since hatchies can be either the mom or dads breed, imagine like a Guardian mama holding her tiny tiny Tundra baby.
Conversely, imagine like a Tundra dad being so heckin proud of his gigantic child cause they just now learned to fly, but they're already twice his size
- When Tundras shed their winter coats, they give the extra fluff to smaller breeds as nesting material
- When clans migrate, the big breeds just kinda carry the smaller ones because the flap of their wings knocks the tiny dergs off the flight path

I love all of these. ;u;
I'm not sure if it counts, but one of my dragons (
Sebin) is mute and so my entire clan knows what I dubbed "Dragon Sign Language," or "DSL."

If a Pearlcatcher really likes someone they might coat something important of theirs in their Pearl substance, so that they can have a bit of their "soul/memory" to take with them even if they are apart.
Gaolers might take to 'adopting' Tundra, even if they are fully grown, they would still be tiny fluffs to them. Gaoler nanny with all of their tiny babbies. (who are fully grown and can take care of themselves mom! oh wait snacks? )

Alrighty! I'm putting some in for my dragons in particular as well.
-Tikwi will often times copy other dragons in the Clan around him, so imagine him strutting around like the braggart of his looks Tundra Jefferson, or at times even acting like he was fighting with a sword, like one of the two head generals. The hatchlings love it.
-Skydancers will often preen their mate, like a bird. Doesn't matter if that mate doesn't even have feathers. So imagine my Skydancer boi Achilles preening little Patro's scales and fur, while the PearlCatcher is just sitting there loving every minute of it.
-Alexander, among some of his other friends, will come into the nursery and sing to the eggs, usually history or anything that they did in their prime. So basically, just imagine the musical of "Hamilton" being sung right there in the nursery >=3
-Pixel, my Clan's Leader, being a Fae, will often times take a nap in larger dragons' heads. Or even just catch a ride on their crests or helmets. It gets hilarious when Achilles tries to introduce the Clan Leader to any wandering dragon.
-Eliza often makes cookies, mostly for the hatchlings, but often times, Patroclus will sneak in for some cookies. Hyper Pearlcatcher smol.

Dragons with fur and feathers often help each other groom/preen, and often will do it with scaly dragons too, although they don't need it as much!

This is an INCREDIBLE thread! Lemme add some of my own:
- Dragons can DANCE! It probably depends more on the breed whether they do it on the ground or in the air, but there's definitely some cultural context to it as well. Snappers have stomp-based dances that rely on very precise rhythms, though Snappers in some mixed clans occasionally like to haphazardly stomp around to the music played by other breeds, something more akin to jumping up and down at a crowded electronic concert.
- Dragons with hands or more dextrous claws (Skydancers and Spirals especially) are good at carving/crafting little trinkets and art projects like statuettes and origami, and commonly give them as gifts to their less dextrous friends.

It's not uncommon to see mixed groups of Mirrors and Skydancers. Both are breeds that prefer living in huge groups, although Skydancers tend to prefer the air and Mirrors the ground. Also, since Mirrors tend to be dragons of few words, they often appreciate being around a breed that can tell their intent at a glance. At night, whether in a mixed group or among just their own, both species sleep in big dogpiles.

One of my headcanons is that Fae dragons often hitch rides on larger dragons, especially since (iirc) that Fae dragons can only fly a short distance without breaks. This one comes up all the time in my lore when Wowzers, a Fae, hitches a ride atop any Imperial's head.
imperials often let their avian beastclan friends chill in their antlers - even a hardened raptorik veteran has to admit that it beats flying on their own!
