Of course with this new ancient the devs are at a SUPER early stage in development so lots could change! Which got me wondering, what does the average fr player want to see in the new breed? Cool biology? Multiple arms? Cyclops breed? What about no eyes at all? No wings?? All the wings?
To everyone concerned about the design so far: its very early stages and nothing is set in stone! Dont worry!! Even if this breed doesn't end up looking how you want, theres going to be more ancients in the future! Also please be respectful to others opinions, thanks~ :D

I'd like more limbs instead of less ... so a modified idea to the original Mirror concept I suppose. [emoji=guardian laughing size=1]
Or something that is so eldritch horror that you don't know what you're even looking at, much less that it's a dragon. [s]So a pile of tentacles with maybe wings, mouths everywhere and eyes shoved into wherever would fit all over its body.[/s]

Hehe cool dragone, my exact thought process.
Getting into more of the paint though (and less average I guess), I think I like a strong silhouette in a dragon. For ancient breeds, this fact is accentuated by the fact ancient breeds can break the rules of regular breeds. In particular, these concepts of yesterday's art stream got me goin:

I've never hoarded items before but I've made it my goal to see just how much salt I can accumulate. Send me those sweet salt stacks, you wont regret it. (4968 piles of salt)

I need to see some real proper rules-breaking when it comes to the standard model. I'm gonna need missing limbs or more limbs. Extra heads or no wings at all. No tails, snub tails, lots of tails. Lots of eyes, one eye, no eyes at all like a blind cave critter. Tusks, saberteeth, crocomouths, anglerfish face, hilarious pipefish snoot, whatever. Snail shells, segmented limbs, insectoid bodies, octopus bodies, dragons in clam shells, more fins than you can shake Tidelord at, turtle shells, gills, hooves... I just want this stuff to look VARIED, man. Ancients are supposed to be rulebreaking, not more of the same but ooh this gene gives them shoulder spines.

I also really like those two! I like unique, identifiable silhouettes. I like the fin-like structure on the first one and also the wing-limb thing on the second one.
I agree that more standard-breaking dragons would be nice (while keeping the FR aesthetics of course.) In particular, I want to see a Hydra of some sort.

Can be rulebreaking, not supposed to be. The only requirement is genes that break the lineart.
I don't like dragons without front limbs, so Wyverns or anything with just wings or no legs isn't my jam.
