Is stuff like that mentioned in your lore? If so how do you explain it? Are they just warriors trained specifically to serve their deities or something else? Genuinely curious to hear y'all's answers.

Yes I do, and that is pretty much how it goes. Those from the clan, or those acquired by them, being trained up and sold to the highest bidder war effort for their skills.
Yes yes, glory to the Lightweaver, now where's the cash?
Not on paper, but head canon:
When I get around to this part of my lore, all of the dragons that get exalted in my lair are actually consumed by The Maw, which is a gigantic interdimensional fleshy portal hidden deep in a cave network somewhere under Plague Territory.
They aren't necessarily dead, but no one is entirely sure where they go when it eats them.
Living things have come out of it, so it seems to be more of a door than a last stop, but no one is brave enough to see what's on the other side on purpose.

My unwritten headcannon for fodder exalting is that those dragons had a calling to serve the gods and decided (on their own) to show up in my lair to be trained by my coli team (cause they have some reputation of being good trainers) and the money they left behing is just payment for the training session

I'm a horrible edgelord so my clan lore is that exalted dragons are sacrificed to the gods my clan worships lol

[color=purple]Exalted dragons in my lore are just dragons that didn't want to hang around anymore, or who truly wanted to serve the Eleven. During lair purges though I did write off some exalts as death purely for lore purposes. I don't actually view exalting as killing dragons.

in my lore it's the public school system
ish. fodder is tossed into an orphanage and they're educated and stuff, and when they're all grown up, they have this 'test of courage' which explains the leveling. then, with this education and strength they go and do whatever they want.

The fodder I exalt I headcanon as dragons either just passing through the lair on the way to somewhere else or itinerant laborers for the farm I haven't written into lore yet who only stick around for a little while while there's work to do.
Not just warriors, but engineers, architects, or even just bog standard lumber luggers.
Someone's gotta build or repair the Stormcatcher's abode.

In my lore, they’re all just trainees who come to check out the weird Evil Hole under the mountain. They either get eaten/killed or move on because they’ve had enough of the abominations that crawl out of the hole and need to bleach their minds. It doesn’t ultimately matter since, ya know, exalted and out of my hands forever.
