what the title says. every time I see a pretty dragon, I just do whatever I can to buy it. if I cant afford it, I contact the owner and get them to hold it, if I have the cash but need the cash for something else, I buy it and earn back the cash later, if I have no lair space I don't even think about the consequences and hit that buy button. which has resulted in me having no money and no lair space all the time. i try to get rid of old ones but I "click" with new dragons really easily and it's hard for me to let go of old ones
how do yall deal with this??

I don't go looking for dragons unless I have an idea for a position in my lore or have an outfit/breeding project they could used for.
Just stay away from the dragons section of the AH pretty much.

Don't visit the dragon section of the AH. Don't open Dragons for Sale. Don't look in my discord groups' sales sections.
And yet here I am, with 2-3 WIP dragons...
I'd need lair space to do that.
Otherwise I prioritize lore dragons, and usually that keeps me from getting too attached to nice looking dragons. But I still impulse buy alot, cause sometimes you just set out wanting a new dragon... Luckily, it usually works out in the end, and I don't regret it one bit [emoji=guardian happy size=1]

I just close the tab with the dragon in it and find something else to do. It probably only works because I have such a horrible memory though :>
Exalting thousands of dragons kind of forces you to become extremely picky with who gets to stay in your lair. Otherwise you'd quickly run out of space. Back when I first started I used to rescue a fair amount of fodder (most of whom still live in my lair). Now I almost always exalt fodder.

I don't go looking for them in the AH tab if I can help it and instead go into the coliseum so I can farm more and get more treasure. More productive that way.

If you figure it out, let me know. I haven't gone random impulse shopping for dragons in a while, but I have impulse scried fan dragons that I then had to have. And got.

Step 1: Be very picky about the dragons you buy.
Step 2: Set yourself a limit of permas (mine is 20.)
Step 3: Profit.

honestly my sister has the same problem but i just?? don't actively go looking for dragons or buy dragons without a solid lore idea already in mind. if i do end up buying a dragon, chances are they'll get a gene change or two and i don't want to dump money into a dragon that might not stick around. two weeks go by and they don't have lore, they've gotta go
plus i've got too many projects in progress already and i really don't need the pressure of saving up more treasure
