So I'm guessing (hoping) that I'm not the only old player who's come back from a hiatus to get involved in FR again. I joined not long after FR started and played a LOT for the first few years, then life happened. I've gotten back on a few times since then but never been able to play consistently. Well, now we've got this whole quarantine situation and I have a ton of time to play! My husband has been playing Ark where he's become basically a dragon farmer, haha. And it reminded me to get on here!

2. What was your favorite thing to do on FR "back in the day"?

Probably the festivals! That's still my favorite time to get on. I like getting chest drops even though grinding is tedious. I like the festival games.

3. What's an old item you have that's valuable now?

I have quite a few old festival chests and familiars stored away!

4. What's something you had to learn or relearn getting back into FR now?

Probably breeding and selling dragons. Not always the most effective way to make money but definitely the most fun. I'm learning how to play glimmer and gloom though.

This Ancient Radiance accent!!

Honestly not sure. I need to decide what I want to do next.

I'd like more low-effort/creativity forum games! There are lots that require writing or roleplaying and I'm not very good at those haha. I like games that involve more technical stuff, puzzles, trading, etc.

Got an upgraded Mire Flyer as soon as I came back and man it is a game changer. I also max out Fairgrounds most days in the week, which I never used to have the patience to do. Helps that I'm in quarantine and have nothing better to do orz 6. I LOVE the Ancient breeds! I think I left pretty soon after Bogsneaks came out way back when, and coming back to two brand new breeds (even if you can't do as much with em) was so fun. I think Gaolers are my fave but I'm starting to love female Banescales too. 7. I think my fave holiday apparel of all time will always be the Chillspike Collar & Crown. Sadly I gave away all my extras so I only have a few of each left. I love the Starsilk sets though, those were new to me! 8. I'm trying to breed a clone of a dragon that was very near and dear to my heart, who I gave away to someone who now seems to be inactive so it's unlikely I'd be able to buy her back from them. Thankfully her genes were Baldwin ones so I'm only really looking for the right color combo. 9. The forums are surprisingly just as active, if not more, than I remember them being back in the day! I felt like dom battles were definitely more involved, I think just the sheer number of users competing/active these days makes it feel a little less intimate. But still very fun! I loved watching Nature v. Fire! 10. It has to be a tie between Tesla and Leap, both leftovers (so to speak) from my olden days on FR. Tesla was the first dragon with Crystal that I ever bought, right after that gene came out, and BOY was she spendy. She was the leader of my clan in my lore for a very long time and when I came back this year I was thrilled to see she was in an active lair, and the user who had her very very kindly gave her back to me for free! Leap was my Leap Day 2016 baby (creative name, I know) and I finally leveled him to 25 upon returning and made him my Kelp Beds Kraken. Plus he has, I think, my favorite holiday accent EVER. This one has a bit of a back story. My husband and I both joined Fr about the same time. This was one of his first dragons and his first self leveled dragon to 25. He gifted him to me due to not liking his genes and colors. I regened him when I came back from a long hiatus.

Well I really used to enjoy selling dragons, because at that time most of my dragons actually sold. It was fun to read the fortune tellers on the FR Economy, and how dragon sales would eventually normalize.

Well I wasn't familiar enough with the site when I started to get a Light Sprite. But I did manage to get the rest of those. I also USED to have one of these, but I gifted it to my ex-boyfriend and it really upsets me now.

2. What was your favorite thing to do on FR "back in the day"?
Same as today,, shop for new cool dragons in the AH. No wonder I've always been broke aha
3. What's an old item you have that's valuable now? mmm,, i don't know if i have any. I didn't really think I'd still be playing this in 2020 so when I took my main hiatus I pretty much sold off everything valuable. I have a lot of the '15 event familiars, but they're nowhere near as valuable as the previous years' fams. Most of my FR assets are in first gen dragons, and even those aren't worth all that much.
4. What's something you had to learn or relearn getting back into FR now?
how to make money. i was so happy to discover G&G; i never used the fairgrounds for money before then.
5. What's your favorite way to make money on here?
it used to be selling dragons. now none of mine sell for more than 30g unless i leave it up for months. so now it's selling art!
6. What is a newer dragon breed/gene/type that you want?
hmm,, nothing in particular. i don't often look for specific dragons, i just browse until i see something i like, then look at similar ones until i fall in love. I suppose I'd like to have a banescale.. i like the lineart but haven't really found any that I LOVE yet, but i will eventually <3
7. What is a piece of apparel, skin, or accent that you have that you really like?
so many..

i love Redbolt Construct & Flameforger Crucible.. i can't choose just one,, i'm bad at having favorites
8. What's your current dragon breeding goal, if you have one?
he's based off my precious 8 month old lizard who died in january... vvvv sad and tragic but at least he'll be immortalized in about 5 days :)

9. What's a fun thing that you'd like to see in the forums/community?

more creativity based games! i used to love "draw the dragon above you" & i adore the games where you choose fav dergs from the person above you & write paragraphs explaining why you love them,, i love seeing what people think of my dragons, and i love telling other people what i love about theirs!
10. Share one of your favorite dragons in your lair!

This is Radgar. He's one of the few dragons I've seen that I NEEDED as soon as I saw him. I just love looking at him. Here he is with no outfit;

I can't say I've ever completely left, but I've gone festivals-only when I was doing college stuff. I've been back full-time more recently, though. [b]1. I actually enjoyed getting my first team up to level 25. I don't think I could do that again. [b]3. What's an old item you have that's valuable now?[/b] Old festival stuff. I also made sure to get the backlog of retired familiars when I was new, aside from the Kickstarter/Beta stuff. [b]4. It did take me a while to find a nice Nature-eyed Blossom Gaoler, though, since I really didn't want to go through the Mum gathering to gene my own. [b]7.
