TOPIC | Is there an easy way to find G1 twins?

I'd like to find two g1s that have the exact same colors. I don't care what colors though. Is there any way to find two or do I just gotta go through the dragon search bar one by one? :/

Yeah, if you don't care about colors the best thing to do might be just to search G1's on the AH. If you see one you like, try and see if it has a twin.

Pick a color combination (any, as you don't mind), put it in the dragon search tool in the library, select G1 non exalted and there you go.

But yeah, there's so many color combinations it may be a huge task. Trying 1 color range and determine the others may save some work maybe?

Tried to help, but I could only find partial twins:

https://www1.flightrising.com/auction-house/buy/realm/dragons?d_gen1=1&d_body=148&d_wings=33&collapse=1

The closest I could find:

It's rare, but it can happen. I know a user who owns two separate pairs of G1 twins, and I have a pair of Obsidian/Crimson/Rust G1s myself. It was pure luck I got them, though - I had been running a search for a certain color range with certain eyes, and when a result finally turned up and I purchased him, I decided to turn off the eye specifications on a lark, just to see what results I'd been blocking before deleting the search - and there he was, a clone of the guy I'd purchased.

I think you're better off not looking for matches to a specific dragon, and instead keep combing dragon search for twins of G1s you already own? Save a few searches.

Oh, and you're way likelier to find G1 twins in the pre-colorwheel range than you are with the expansion, so keep a close eye on old (ID <20mil) dragons.

Aha! I have some experience with this, as I have a tab of G1 "twins". They aren't exact twins, as their terts don't match, but here:

https://www1.flightrising.com/den/27230/1535710?name=&type=undefined

So, my advice: Shop for twins on big hatch days. Ie, Leap Year, April Fools', etc. I like mine to have matching hatch dates, if you don't care about that, it makes your job easier.

To narrow my search down, I usually search one element at a time. Sometimes then I also break it down to a color spread. Hope this helps, and good luck finding your twins!

Big Hatch Days are prime time for getting exact or near-miss twin G1s. That's how I got a hold of these two boys here: Same hatchdate, same prim/sec, even the same element! The only thing that doesn't match are their terts but they're pretty dang close on the colorwheel. Besides I'd almost say it's okay for their terts to not match since those aren't normally seen without genes and even identical twins have slight differences between each other. Best of luck with your twin hunting!

Any twins I've found that weren't through auctions were pure chance - one pair (the pair I have) was AH browsing for gen1s in general and they were similarly priced from different sellers, and two other pairs were from dragon search when I went looking for specific combos for other reasons. I even found g1 triplets with one pair, lol. As in, same exact colors on all 3. But yeah I dont know any methods other than looking individually :/ aim for colors you like that won't be obscenely priced first (like neat xyzs)

edit now that i'm on the computer: it was vander and vidas i found on the ah! vander was 555g, vidas was 350g ^^ interestingly, vander was a triple basic ridgeback, and vidas had underbelly, lol. but yeah, completely different sellers!

During the Banescale release, I found two identical G1 Banescale brothers from the Auction House. The only difference between them were their Flights. Otherwise they were exact the same from everything else. Colours, hatch day, etc. I was looking for a home for the twin brothers and happy to find it in the end. They went to different owners as one dragon went to each owner. The best thing about this is the fact that the owners were twin brothers in real life as well.

My own twins happened because I was using Dragon Search to find how rare my dragons' color combos were, and I discovered that one of mine was one of two and the other was a G1. The owner was willing to sell, and so now I have a pair of twins!
