So, lore-wise, one of my dragons was an eye (his left to be exact) that has two "extra" colours than his right eye (Aka Central heterochromia) and I was wondering if FR dragons could actually have Central Heterochromia (Or any other type of heterochromia)?
Edit:
1. I'm subbed to the thread now, so there's no need to Ping me anymore ^^'
2. I'm also asking now if FR dragons canonically have melanocytes (The cells that produce melanin, which can cause Heterochromia)-

Plague Rare is essentially double eye sectoral heterochromia. Here's my dragon Jazz as a baby Spiral to illustrate it.

Edit: some other eye colors that do it:

Silentsnowdrop True, but I'm mostly wondering if it can happen in one eye, with two colours instead of one-

TheSinNamonBun Canonically no, but I don't think it'd be outlandish as a headcanon.

In cannon lore, I'm pretty sure that doesn't work; eye color is tied exclusively to element, and there are no cross-element hybrids. Genetics and the like don't matter.
That being said, you don't have to follow cannon lore. I certainly don't use tundra dragon lore.

I love pings! Don't be afraid to ping me; I tend to miss a lot of replies, even if they're right after my own post, so please, please ping if you want me to see!

ALL my dergs are two elements
Its a thing we all have in common.
And not just the 11 (Actual flight) elements. The runestone of the arcanists (Forbidden) Elements

And if a silence filled the air do you think that anyone would even care? Would they be aware... of the mounting snow...

I’m going to say a solid no, as no dragon can be part of two flights and the rest of the eye types are locked to the color specific to the flight the dragon is hatched in.
As far as writing that in lore, you could do it, but canonically, we haven’t seen it happen.

Since it's tied to element I could see it in dragons who are born on territories that border two regions (such as arcane & plague, fire & lighting)
Though of course this can be completely disregarded :-p

Heterochromia would probably be limited to varying shades of their elemental color, if they had it. Eye color is related to element, and is basically influenced by the magic of whatever dragon deity they hatched closest to. It's less about genetics and more about magic.

This is actually a good question. As others stated, canonically, it's impossible, but I think it's a really cool idea!
And one that would be cool to use for my
Shadow and
Light boys, who are brothers lore-wise despite being different elements. *thinking emoji*
