I noticed that waychips and waychunks are selling around for 350g/kt apiece. Why is this? Don't most ppl have one already?
Everyone only got one, so everybody is rushing to buy the other. Since availability is low and demand is high, the price skyrockets.

@pearlconnor but last year, the masques were selling for WAY less. Its only been a few days since April 1.

If I had to guess it's because Galore
Everyone used to get april fools gifts just put into their account. So people who didn't know about gifts, couldn't make it on, were on hiatus, etc would still get one.
Now everyone that missed out on the two days we had to pick up the gifts... is out of luck. So if they want one they have to buy one, which'll jack up the price since more are being sold.
Couple that with the fact that the familiars seem fairly popular and many people want one of each... so even the people that already got their free one are still buying.
I'm also not sure if they're dropping from chests yet - I assume they will if they aren't already, but since they're so new there hasn't been enough time for them to build up stock so-to-speak.

The masques were also way less popular, being a more obvious joke item; these are something you can use for serious dragons.
Also the masques are ridiculously common in chests, these are probably gilded exclusive like the Phoenix/buttersnake. Took me 2 years to get both of them from chests, so.

yep, they are gilded exclusive according to the game database.
eventually it'll prob dip somewhat, especially around releases where large amounts of people are opening gilded decorative chests (exclusive apparel etc). same thing happened with the buttersnake/phoenix from a couple years ago. but they'll always be much more expensive than the masques or eyes
