Where do first gens come from lore-wise? If they don't have parents were they just created by their flight's leader? Is there a better forum for me to post this on?

Where do first gens come from lore-wise? If they don't have parents were they just created by their flight's leader? Is there a better forum for me to post this on?
I think everyone does it a bit differently (I've heard that some people have lore that G1s are created by the gods), but I usually say that they were abandoned eggs found by the dragons in my clan and taken in by one of the many dragon families.

I'm not sure if there's any official lore though and I don't really follow the posts that the devs make, so I have no definite answer.

Well , you can make their lore everything you want. But because we get Unhatched eggs from scavenging, I think the first generation dragons are actually stolen from their parents. Or abandoned. And they are first gen because it's lorewise impossible to find out who their parents where.

In the case of my progens, no lore reasoning for that, but unhatched eggs in my lore are the direct children of the deities. So my gen 1 Carranog is the so of the Plaguebringer directly.

Hm, on top of the eggs being Scavenged from destroyed clans, I think I remember something about eggs being stolen by the Beastclans, which is why you wouldn't know the parents as well.

Not just Beastclans, as enemies in the coli drop eggs as well - I'm assuming dragon eggs are stolen under the noses of unobservant parents by pretty much [i]everything[/i]

... the deities spawn the baseline progenitor dragons. The plentiful types were made with an extreme breeding drive. They go on a rampage to try and increase their numbers and ditch any eggs not to be considered worth their time. Result in mass numbers of partially incubated basic eggs lying in wait to be found by just whoever.

(Most of) My G1’s have parents. Whether they know them or not is a different story as it depends on the dragon.
