So sometimes when I get bored of a dragon in my lair that has lore, or they don't really match what I like to see on a dragon anymore, I just,
Ye-YEET that sucker out of here.
And buy another dragon with close to the same colors that I like better.
I decide I don't like a dragon anymore, and their days are numbered. I specifically search for a replacement, then copy and paste the lore, give them the same apparel and familiar, and sell the old dragon.
I feel like I'm betraying them

I've done it a few times. I'm sure there's others out there.

I've never done this. Partly because I get really attached to my dragons and partly because it would feel weird to give one dragon's lore to a completely different dragon. In my lair, once you get art and/or lore, you're never leaving.

I don't do the exact thing you're describing- rather, I'll impulse buy a dragon, give them some lore or an outfit, then realize a few days/weeks later that I don't really want that dragon and then just exalt or sell them for fodder price on the AH. Sometimes I'll do this to dragons that have been in my lair for months or even years, too.
It always happens when I don't like the dragon's lore or appearance anymore, so no, I don't really do the replacing thing you describe unless there's a specific role that dragon filled that I need to keep filled.

But yeah, I do have the habit of randomly yeeting my dragons on occasion :P

Hmm... never done this because a) I'm really attached and b) if I am tired I can't give them up because they're kind of old and I like my old babies.

I'm majorly guilty of this. (":

I'll have the dragons for a few years, and then look at it, and realize I don't really love the colors, eyes, or genes anymore, but I still love the character. So I sell, then use the profits to buy a cheaper but more beautiful replacement, and copy and paste the lore onto a new dragon.

If i give a dragon lore, it sticks with that dragon. if i buy a replacement, i can't get myself to the new dragon the old one's lore, it doesn't feel right.

It entirely depends on the dragon. Pretty much all of my dragons are here to stay but if it somehow happens I find a better version, I replace the dragon. If I notice that the dragon doesn't fit my aesthetics anymore or if they were an impulse-buy, they're getting replaced. I do cleanings like these very rarely but they happen. I always make sure they get sold though and not exalted.

The reason why it's like this is because I have a set list of characters I want to work on, so I always replace the dragon that represents them. The idea remains the same, the dragon can be tweaked.
