Do you guys incorporate your fandragons into your lore or not? I wanna do it, but I feel it would be a little weird treating these characters like ocs...

Do you guys incorporate your fandragons into your lore or not? I wanna do it, but I feel it would be a little weird treating these characters like ocs...
I kinda treat them like avatars of the person/character they're based on. It's not really them, but heavily based on them.

Their lore isn't complete, but I wrote small tidbits on them. It's okay if you don't know who they portray. The important thing is that I just took their traits and thought "how can I apply this to a dragon in Sornieth?" [emoji=ridgeback laughing size=1]

also my writing sucks so I feel like I'd ruin the character if I actually wrote something about them

nope! the two i have are in my den, away from my lore dragons. Francis actually started out as a fandragon as well, but when i tried to involve her in lore, she kind of... morphed into her own character. so i don't try to do that anymore

I don't. I used to, but then the dragons morphed into something far divorced from their original characters and it felt kinda weird, so I just stuffed them into a separate fandragon purgatory in my lair.

Yup. In fact, the queen of my lair and the one the lore of my lair is based around is a fandragon. My lair is 80% fandragons and began as a fandragon lair, so yes, fandragons feature heavily in my lore.

Fandragons don't exist in my lore; they're just in a tab in my den.

I do! Mine are demons in my lore which, as such, have some sort of connection to a world beyond Sornieth (though they can't identify the source), and are simply taking draconic forms as opposed to demonic ones.
But I also have non-fandragon angels and demons, so they slot in ok. Plus some are music fandragons, so it's less... An existing character? And instead a character based on the music.
And, with my fandragons, I get to impart some headcanons and such on them, so I don't mind. I don't really try to hide that they're fandragons, so it seems like nbd to me to basically just make an AU for the characters.
I do also have cohesive lore and character relationships though, so the two don't necessarily contradict each other. But some characters are more important than others, y'know how it is.

Yep I tie them into my lore, since I don't much care for keeping dragons without some sort of thing to them. One is the Sornieth version of herself, some others were the result of Shadowbinder's shenanigans.
