TOPIC | g1 multigaze vs g1 primal

i thought multigaze and primal had the same percentages, or at least very similar, but it seems gen1s with primal are much more expensive than ones with multigaze. is this just preference/high demand on the part of the gen1 market? or is primal that much rarer?

i always prefer primals more than multigazes. sometimes, the multigaze and a dragons genes clash (?) or sometimes the eyes look kinda weird near the head on some breeds. it's also my opinion that primals look much cooler than multigaze, especially on an avatar.

It's actually the opposite. Multigaze is rarer, being 1/225, whereas primal is 1/150.

I assume Multigaze are cheaper since:

-Primals are varied based on eye type, multi looks the same for all
-multi can be a trigger for some people
-primal takes up less of the body and is therefore less distracting
-primals are generally seen as rarer, despite the fact they're not

I personally don't mind, since I prefer multigaze to all of the primals (except lightning).

They do have similar rates (something like 1.5% for multi and 1% for primal) Better breakdown on rates above! However not everyone likes the eldritch look of multigaze whereas primals are more asethetically neutral and pleasing for a wider audience. Or at least that's my idea.

i think it has to do with looks, mg is a bunch of eyes while primal is a unique set of eyes along with lore that theyre blessed by the deities or etc

(from what ive seen and experienced though mg is rarer, only hatched 1 in a g2+ nest while ive hatched multiple g2+ primals and a g1 primal)

I think main reason why multigaze in general is not as pricy as primal is that it is extra situational, and does not work with any line-breaking genes on ancient breeds. Not a single one. It always clips with the gene to some level just a scry multi bane with plumage as an example:

I like D&D
That's odd. Granted I don't breed much, but I've gotten 2 MG dragons and have yet to get a single primal.

Primal is definitely rarer than multigaze and dragons with matchy primal colors are rarer still. I tried playing the multigaze market but outside of plague and shadow the demand just isnt there.

Multigaze is rarer, but primal is more unique. There's no other eyetype like it and no way to duplicate the effect (whereas multigaze's look can be duplicated by a skin pretty easily). I've never once hatched a multigze, but I've hatched multiple primals since the eye update.

I prefer primal mainly because it caters to each specific element, like ice has snowflakes, plague is well plague, earth and nature are rocks and flowers, and multigaze is really just different colors
