I used to be super into genes and yeeted any dragon that didn't have triple genes but now? I'm growing fond of it
and honestly? not even cuz of the fact it's cheap
I'm just starting to appreciate its less crouded nature

I've removed even gem genes off of a number of dragons because I wanted a cleaner base. My avatar is one of them. Sometimes I find that it works with apparel better.
Other primaries would be too distracting.

i mostly want a tertiary because... it feels weird having a color not be there lol. though many dragons are all the better if you just ignore the tert.

I have many dragons who I've either removed genes or left basic because I like them better that way. Sometimes Basic is the best gene for a dragon!

Imagine geneing your dragons and not just keeping them basic because let's be honest, basic is THE best gene. No ugly patterns, no contrasting colors, no clutter. Just straight up dragon. And it's free! And it's not like apparel doesn't exist for a reason. Sure, some dragons look beautiful with genes, but just as many if not more look just fine with one or more basic genes.
no, I'm not just saying this because I waste all my money on buying G1s and am too broke to gene them.
Edit: I have frickloads of basic dragons if you want me to share them or you can just look through my lair because I HAVE A TON.
