How have your tastes and opinions on certain things (like breeds, genes, colors ect.) changed over years of playing? I'm curious to see whether most of yalls tastes have stayed the same or changed wildy like mine sjsj
I personally used to be a coatl and glimmer fiend (both seperately and at the same time) but I honestly don't really like glimmer that much anymore (nothing wrong w/ it it just doesn't look as good to me now) and while I still have a good handful of coatls they are definitely no longer 90% of my lair. I've also seem to learn to appreciate a lot of other breeds I never touched a lot more too (F ridgebacks are probs my fave now even if I only got 1.).

I signed up and chose my custom progen on mobile and I was infuriated to find out that midnight was not the typical 'black' and what I had actually been looking for was obsidian. I couldn't tell the difference on my phone, I thought it was the same color with different tones on the belly lmao.
Now midnight is one of my favorite colors, probably LARGELY due to python being a gene now. I scattered my custom progen out of anger only to, over time, have her return to midnight and now I love her. Big sigh.

The most positive thing I've seen over time is with the addition of all of the new genes there is a huuuuuuge number of XYZ dragons that might not have been 'pretty' to me before but now are.

same about glimmer, it used to be one of my most-used genes but now i only have one dragon with it. i also used to not like wildclaws as much as i do now (they make up a little less than half my lair at this point). i'm much more open to breed and gene changes - almost every incoming perma these days gets a scroll of some sort.
i still like more muted colours or contrasty doubles, especially xyys, and my dislike of snappers hasn't gone anywhere. i am more willing to accept faes nowadays, but i don't have any as permas (yet?)

Same here. I used to love glimmer a LOT and now, my go to gene is capsule even though I swore I would never use it.
However, I've grown to like iris/shim! I used to think it was basic 2.0 but it actually.. looks good to me now??

I have started playing more and now am addicted to faes, coatls, skydancers, and wildclaws.
I used to mainly have faes. (I still have mainly faes, but that's because I'm still very addicted to faes, and have enough that it's hard to change that, lol.)

I like f imps and m ridgebacks more than I did when I started, and I've moved away from xxys/xyys. Also nocturnes, because starcon was made for them.

When I first joined, I thought apparel and skins were silly. Dragons don't need clothes, right?
I very much disagree now, haha. Some of my dragons are so covered you can barely see the actual lineart xD
