Today Xhaztol mentioned that the anniversary update isn't going to be a breed-- nor will it be anything that the staff have mentioned before!

I wanted to collect some predictions here-- let's make our own hints!

Reminder: the hint words are Goldfish, Fairy, Portal, and Landscape. (Underlined hint words are ones that haven't obviously been confirmed yet.) I'm not certain whether a hint word counts as something that's been "previously discussed", but it's worth keeping in mind!

Things it COULD be:

• The fabled... Adventure Mode! (At least I don't think it's been discussed...)
• Some sort of Tidelord-centered lore update (possibly counts as "previously discussed", but I'm being optimistic)
• A hoard or trade revamp with better organization and a search function
• Pose change scroll (gender change scroll has been all but explicitly deconfirmed)
• Item crafting
• A new Trading Post function
• Dragon or lair backgrounds
• Dominance revamp
• Festival revamp...?
• Even more new eye types
• Nontraditional apparel that can be applied to ancients/permababies (presumably this could also include things like flowerfalls or other apparels that aren't "on" the dragon)
• Some apparel or familiar(s) released concurrently with the main update (this one is practically a given, considering we've gotten some for the past several anniversaries) (Another thought: some truly interesting apparel-- extra wings as apparel, or other major modifications)

Things it WON'T be:

• New ancient or modern breed (explicitly deconfirmed)
• World map update (explicitly deconfirmed)
• Coliseum PVP (discussed previously, 8/21/19)
• Dark mode, or another feature that changes the site's theme/UI cosmetically (discussed previously, and will probably be announced well in advance/worked in gradually)

Post your thoughts, either anything that's been mentioned before or could be a possibility! I'll collect your suggestions in the first post so everyone can go through them concisely.

Landscape will be the map update, released later this year.

Golfish and fairy might be new ancients, also not released at anniversary.

I’m not sure if this has been discussed before but a hoard revamp or trade revamp with a search function could be nice!

Now that Map and the new Modern have been disconfirmed, I honestly have zero clue what it could be. Especially since they stated that its something they've never talked about...

those 3 words just keep making me think that tidelord vanished because some fairy turned him into a goldfish idk. im not smart enough to figure this out.

For some reason I keep thinking "pose change scroll."

Not Adventure Mode, as that sounds like pretty much a video game itself, and I wouldn't expect work on that until the site is actually fully updated.

... completely new feature? One that takes up that open Trading Post slot.

Another sort of item crafting? Bounty Hunter for trophy apparel?

Hrm... a design-your-lair system, not exactly like Neohomes but a similar basic concept? That'd be a new mechanic that's never been discussed.

I'd like to see dragon backdrops.
