light items often become expensive as the aesthetic is very popular and most items from it tend to be very well drawn and made, compared to other fest's apparel. Seriously, it feels like light always gets the best apparel and i suppose its because it has to ring in the new cycle but still.

I'm not sure about that. The apparel I find is very situational. The Sprite, sure, purely by the fact that there would be less of them in circulation due to it having been the first festival.
