This is a series of hypothetical questions I had a blast writing that I thought would be interesting to see responses for from the FR community. What would you do in these situations?
(1) A brand new gene comes out, and it's everything you could have ever wanted. You scry a dragon of yours and it fits. So. Perfectly. You buy the gene and apply it - this dragon is hands down your favourite dragon ever now. You show it off in the forums and everyone remarks how cool it is, and the likes start pouring in. You get a PM from someone wanting to acquire your dragon - they're offering you a light sprite for it. What would you do? ----- (2) The new map update comes out and everyone's hyped. You jump into the new map and scroll around it, checking out the new visuals, effects and landmarks. You're impressed at how far you can zoom in and start looking for really tiny cool details to appreciate. You see what looks like a miscoloured pixel, slightly lighter than the rest in the center of a darkened doorway in the Tangled Wood. As you mouse over it, your cursor changes to indicate you can click on it, so you do. The page loads with a black background, an image of a shadow sprite with it's finger over it's mouth as if it's going 'shhh' and white text under it that says 'keep this a secret and i'll make it worth your while' You reload the page and it goes back to the map. The pixel is gone. What would you do? ----- (3) A new user joins FR and you see them introduce themselves, so you say hi :) You're both in the same flight and discover you share the same birthday. Over the coming months you see them pop up in the forums, asking questions and getting involved in things. You remember asking the exact same questions when you were new. Another month passes and you see them post something that makes you feel weird. Where have I seen that before? You go into their lair to discover your old permas you used to love but sold are there, dressed the way you used to dress them. You check their forum post history and compare it to your own - they're identical, the comments being posted on the same day years apart. What would you do? ----- (4) You're browsing the AH and decide to check out the Specialty section. You click and as the page loads, there at the top of the page is an imperial scroll, listed for 1[emoji=gem size=1]. You hit buy expecting to see that the listing doesn't exist, but you're greeted with the Congratulations! pop up. Almost immediately the mispost lost and found thread jumps to the top of the discussion page - the listing was a mistake and the seller is in tears trying to get it back. Threads pop up with people all wanting to help retrieve it, everyone wants to know who has it. What would you do? ----- (5) A new update comes out for the coliseum adding in new very rare 'events.' Every time you click 'fight on' after successfully completing a battle, you have a tiny chance of getting an event rather than a normal battle. The devs hint at what the events could be with the announcement, but decide to let players discover what happens in them for themselves. 3 days go by and not a single player has discovered an event yet and speculation is going a little wild. While in the coli you suddenly come across an event with your favourite coli grinder! The page loads and you see an image of a vast room, with a marble plinth on the left side with light streaming down on it, and an old sad looking snapper on the right, sitting in the shadows. A breed change scroll sits on the plinth, of an ancient breed you've never seen before. There's a button saying 'Take scroll in front of the plinth, and a button saying 'Leave' in front of the snapper. You hit 'Take scroll' and a pop up box with the snapper on it appears with the text - 'There's a heavy price for taking this scroll. You must leave your greatest fighter here, forever. Are you sure you want to do this?' What would you do? ----- (6)You hatch an egg for fun and it's an XXX obsidian with primal eyes. What would you do?
1. Light sprite! Dude!
2. It probably won't do any harm to keep it a secret. And anyways...
3. I report them. Then I go inactive for a few months.
4. I'll give it back. It's pretty cruel not to.
5. I'd leave the fighter. They can be replaced, restoned.
6. If I had that, my answer to number four would change. I'd give it the Light sprite too.

oh this is Fun

1) i dont think a light sprite would be able to buy my favorite dragon lol. but hypothetically, in the case of a dragon that wouldn't sell for over the price of a light sprite, yeah i'll take it. i can always breed a new dragon but a light sprite? mannnn that's a lot of money.

2) that's just spooky enough that i'd keep it to myself

3) hire an exorcist

4) give it back, there's no way i'd conceivably be an owner of an imp scroll and it would be very obvious that i was the person with it if i ever used it or wanted to sell/trade it. i'd rather be a nice person than be ostracized thanks

5) i'm not too much a fan of the ancient breeds anyways, and i like my coli team. 3/4 of them are lore permas and one is just a really nice g1. if i could choose which level 25 to leave behind, i'd pick the g1. if it picks for me, i'd pass but tell the forums all about it

6) mine now :)

1. We'd feel really bad selling just a regular dragon for a light sprite so we'd probably offer much less then just breed a replacement.

2. Wait for other people who saw the same thing to post and everyone to figure out what it does :D Then enjoy the reward for staying quiet.

3. Report the weird bug :D

4. We'd definitely give it back straight away if they could provide reasonable proof that they sold it. Keeping misprices isn't cool and it's even less cool for valuable stuff.

5. We'd take that scroll. Being the first to have a stupidly rare new thing would pay for many level 25s.

6. Sell. Maybe do a raffle if we aren't feeling too lazy.

1.) Dragon, don't necessarily care for the light sprite
2.)Report it for sure.
3.) Idk, cool little secret no harm keeping it that way
4.)I'll give it back
5.)Well, if its a lore dragon I love to bits, won't leave it, if it's just a random derg I can replace then heck yes take that scroll.
6.)Keep that, thank you

1. I'm not a fan of light sprites at all so I'd probably decline their offer and wish them luck.
2. Post a thread in the forum asking if anyone's experienced this before. I refuse to keep this a secret, Shadow Sprite!
3. Report them to the mods because that's some serious stalker crap right there.
4. It's mine now. Forevermore. It would rest at the back of my vault until the perfect hatch arises.
5. Don't like ancient breeds and given enough time the new ancient breed'll become fodder.
6. Sell it to Cakeless or something. I hate XXX's.

1. I'd keep the dragon since they'd probably be really pretty.
2. I'd keep that a secret, seems like something interesting would happen later.
3. I would have very intense deja vu, but would be glad to discover another user like that.
4. If I did buy that scroll I would post on the AH mispost thread and send it back to the user immediately. Also would give them some extra gems to help make them feel better.
5. I would take the scroll, that new ancient breed I've never seen before would be absolutely worth it. I can always train other dragons too.
6. Probably stare at it for sometime then post something because that is really unusual.

Currently on a semi-hiatus, still online frequently.
Hyperfixated on history, science, comics, and the transformers franchise.
1. I'd probably decline the offer. I tend to get attached to my dragons, and I'm not into collecting Sprites. But I would take note of the other player's name and keep them in mind for if I do get tired of the dragon and decide to give them up in the future. 2. Probably make a thread about it...or, more likely, think about making a thread and then forget to do so. 3. Something similar happened to me one time, with one of my survey responses (so basically it would be like someone copy-pasting this post without quoting me). I think it might've been an error, though. I was all, "Hey, buddy, did you forget to substitute your own answers?" and they deleted it. If this scenario happened exactly as described, though, ngl, I would freak out. Maybe ask the mods if this was OK, since that sounds eerily close to stalking. >__> 4. Reading about this hypothetical error made me cringe so hard, I would most likely give it back, because holy moly. 5. Ooh, that's a tough one! I'd probably leave it there [s]and kick myself later[/s], since I'm not one for breeding dragons for profit. 6. I've gone over this scenario many, many times. [emoji=guardian star] Keep 'em, slap a "Not for Sale" sign in their bio, but take down the names of players who might want to buy them later on. Level them up, get them some art and genes, basically beef up their value. I might sell them for a nice sum later on...but it's equally likely I'll get attached to them and keep them instead!
