i thought breeding progens was necessary and the game wouldnt let me continue if i didnt do it

That getting new dragons was a Big Deal, and I was amazed when I was pinged to a giveaway thread a day or two later. Then I checked the AH, bought some dragons in my excitement at the fact that I could afford them, and finally noticed that 90% of the dragons on the AH were fairly cheap.
Not a misunderstanding of game mechanics, but I also thought I would have a lair dedicated to transformers fandragons. That plan did not last more than a week before I discovered the site's lore and realised I wanted to make my own characters.
