Flight Rising Discussion

Returning player here, I've been inactive for a long time and I feel like I've missed a good chunk of things. Dragon pages look different, things can be organised and so on and I keep hearing talk of ancient breeds.

Is anyone able to give me a rundown on these or failing that a link to have a read up on what they are?

Also just as a random talking point, is there anything else major that might have changed on the site that might be helpful to know?

When did you go offline?

If you don't mind clicking through a bunch of forum thread pages. Someone made a chronological update directory, so you can skim through it if you've got the time.

Do you know about Hibernal Dens?

That directory is super helpful! I think I went offline hmm just around the time that the new eye styles were added though I was lapsing into inactivity before that. I'll definitely have a read thought that.

I'm not sure what hibernal dens are, I put a few dragons in mine but mostly just to see what it did, I'm still not entirely sure.

@Baneful all updates are listed there! I still have to read thru it myself to see what I've missed, but Hibernal dens are listed there too!!!

Basically they're extra storage dens, but at the cost of being able to interact with those dragons less. They don't eat food, but they can't fight or breed either. Most people use them for non-coli/non-breeding lore dragons or as a place to keep fodder during pushes.

You can also feed individual dragons now!

ancient breeds are a new-ish type of dragon! they have their own genes, can't wear apparel, and can only breed with other dragons from the same species. here are two of mine. I see someone's already explained ancient breeds, but you mentioned confusion about the hibernal den, so-

The HibDen is a new bit of lair space made to give people more space for dragons while lightening the load on the server. Dragons in the hibden can't breed, eat, fight in the coliseum, or be sold or traded, but they don't lose energy either! There's also different ways to expand the spaces in the hibden - tabs still cost treasure, but you buy each space individually, and you can purchase them with either gems or completing item quests! Also, once you take a dragon out of the den, they have a thirty-day cooldown before they can go back in.
