we all enjoy the image of the deities as loving parent-gods, but even a god can get a little spiteful every now and then, right? thus, curses. what kind of curses would the gods inflict upon a particularly scorn-worthy dragon?
the gladekeeper gives me strong fertility god vibes (probably because of the associations with nature and flora and agriculture), so she might, ironically, set a plague upon one's crops or even a clan's entire territory. a withering curse that ensures a terrible hardship, but in keeping with nature's themes of survival and perserverence, would also encourage those afflicted to power through or adapt (earning the gladekeeper's forgiveness in the process).
in the stormcatcher's case, i cant quite imagine him doing something all that drastic - too much work to do, cant waste time on misbehaving mortals. he'd probably just smite you with a bolt of lightning and be on his way.

Gladekeeper could also inflict infertility or sterility on a dragon, I suppose! And a minor curse for the Stormcatcher might be constantly being static shocked. For Lightweaver, a minor curse could be constantly having the sun in your eyes or a slight sunburn! Flamecaller might curse you to always burn your food.

I can't imagine Lightweaver setting curses. Glittermama, and the whole Light Flight, strikes me more as all-or-nothing, as evidenced by her long period of inactivity followed by the "Imperials are a mistake, I must get rid of them" statement.
You don't get cursed in Light flight. You just get smote.

For a less violent type of curse, I could imagine Flamecaller cursing ones tools, so that they crumble away beneath your touch. You will never craft anything again without appeasing her. [s]Possibly having to carve a statue or the like out of rock with their own claws.[/s]

I'd say Light is pretty cursed as it is.

This reminds me of an interesting lore thing I keep thinking about - Do you think especially superstitious dragons would see certain disabilities as solely caused by god-curses? And how would it affect a disabled dragon’s interactions with others?
It would suck for ableism to be a thing in Sornieth but it seems to have a precedent in the way dull colored (and usually sickly) Coatls are just shunned and treated like bad omens. I can’t help but wonder if the same superstition carries over to other breeds.
For the ‘certain disabilities’ I mentioned, I imagine it would only come about if it could directly relate somehow to a deity, e.g. Nonfunctional wings is a curse from Windsinger, especially in the Twisting Crescendo where flight is needed for daily life; Immune system disorders are a curse from Plaguebringer, because you can’t survive in her realm with anything but the best immune system, etc. It’s a weird line of thought but I hope this makes sense lol

Plaguemother would probably make you sick, or perhaps she would simply take away your natural immunity as a plague dragon?
Though Tidelord is at the grocery store looking at the low fat milk, i think he would make the currents always at odds with you. The superstitious dragons think his absence is a punishment for some great evil done by water dragons as a whole, which is disastrous to the hatchlings, who usually take the brunt of the fury and 'retribution'

That. I also think an allergy to water, especially among water-aligned dragons, could be seen as curse from Tidelord as well.
