Alright, as a nature clanmember myself, I feel obligated to give my headcanons about each nature border clan's general disposition/vibe. (only loosely based off of the actual worldmap) phew, this took a while to type ahhahah
Earth/Nature
Appearance: In between the rolling hills and barren crags of the Earthshaker's domain and the lush forests of the Gladeskeeper's realm, the land gives way to a vast savannah. Trees here and there, rocky outcroppings in the distance. Not a cloud in sight, just open grassland and sky stretching into the horizon. The distant sea breeze brushes by, sending waves across the dried grass fields.
General Lore: Taking some inspiration from the native tribes of Mongolia, I'd like to imagine these clans living a semi-nomadic lifestyle. In the winter, when scavenging is rough, clans migrate towards the Viridian Labyrinth, but in the summer, clans head back towards Dragonhome. A lonely existence for most of the year, but during migrations, multiple clans from all across often join together to form caravans, sharing tales and each other's company.
Shadow/Nature
Appearance: Like a forest straight out of a Brother's Grimm fairy tale, the border between Shadow and Nature is full of whimsy. Multicoloured vines hang from every branch, and fireflies flit about in the underbrush. Although the sun's been obscured by the foliage above, luminescent mushrooms provide ample lighting. But beware, not everything is as it seems. The forest here is alive, and it's got a twisted sense of humor. Travellers without a guide will get lost, seemingly walking in circles as they grow more tired and hungry, until they succumb to the forest's whims.
General Lore: I'd like to think that the tribes that call this border home are the epitome of eccentric and wild. Many clans here have a dual nature. Presenting themselves as well meaning folks, these dragons will dupe, scam, or prank whoever is gullible enough to fall for their act, but play coy if they get caught. These clans are also known for their bacchanalian parties, filled with revelry, antics, and general misbehavior.
Light/Nature
Appearance: Jutting out like sore thumbs, the crumbling ruins of once impressive monuments are scattered all across the expanses of birch forest along this border. Slowly but steadily, these constructs are reclaimed by nature. Perpetually in autumn, the birch tree's foliage is in a thousand different shades of golden yellow, turning the ground beneath one's feet into a lush carpet woven from sunlight.
General Lore: The clans here are cozy, snug, and welcoming. Rather than being known for their pursuit of knowledge, like many other Light clans, most clans here are known to be champions of craftsmanship and art. Drawing inspiration from the ruins dotting the land, impressive paintings, sculptures, and literary works have been made here. A combination of open minded and talented dragons have turned this border into a hotspot of cultural exchange and artistic innovation.
