Flight Rising Discussion

When I first joined FR, I picked the Ice Flight. I really liked the ice eyes but found that my personality didn't really match up with the flight itself. Then, I moved to the Wind Flight. I felt like the Wind Flight was better suited for me, however, I wasn't a big fan of the wind eyes... so I'm kinda torn between flights here as I'm saving up gems.

Does anyone else experience this? I tend to fluctuate aesthetics a lot which is why I'm really indecisive about flight changes.

Thankfully, I dont experience this alot. Sure, theres times I'd want to be in the Ice flight because of the eyes and others that i'd love to be in Plague because I like the lore and aesthetics. But Shadows fits me better, I love the dark forest with gorgeous glowy mushrooms, love how mysterious and dark it is and Shadowmum is just beautiful! Also, if I ever have the luck of breeding a primal, I know I'm in the flight with the best primal eyes x3 But for sure, theres something I like in all the flights. So, if I ever delve into making lore, I'll either place my lair close to the borders with other flights or I'll just make up something for having a variety of dragons in it from different parts of the world and cultures. Even though dark aesthetics are my favourite, I don't like to be stuck with one theme. Theres lots of beautiful and amazing things in every corner of the world and I want to explore everything.

Also, it's healthy for my wallet.

I looked at Gaea and Lichen. Perfect matches for plague, very hardcore. You truly have the colors of the wasteland, you know that?

If you are still looking for answers, here is my opinion; no flight will ever 100% fit. Some days I love plague, and others I really want to go somewhere else (getting those cool colored dergs sure is hard when you have bright red eyes piercing your soul). My suggestion is finding a flight's eye color you can jive with most of the time, and throw lore to the curb. Aesthetic is everything, and in the end, if you really need one eye color for a special dergs, you can always rent a nest or buy dergs with that specific eye color.

Honestly, I've never wanted to be in any other flight. Water just speaks to me. I'm content :3

I'm surprised everyone isn't running up and down to say this, but nest rentals are your friend for any eye color you want. So, with that in mind, I think it comes down to your preferences in other areas.

I've always been a plagueling at heart personally. I love the lore even though as someone said above, the eyes can be... piercing with some colors. Makes for easier fodder breeding at least. I love the aesthetic and just the whole vibe, but I absolutely got tired of it once and just needed to move once. I did... and immediately got homesick (see the pun?) pretty much that day. Nice vacation in Shadow, but I definitely belong in plague. Never had even the slightest itch to leave again.

TLDR: You can rent nests from other flights and moving can be good.

Originally when I choose Flight Rising, I decided to be in the Wind flight since.. something about whole "dragons who love adventure" description just made me really want to choose it. Though, I can't really say Wind eyes are really my thing. I've been very much considering both Light and Ice flight as Light has this lovely pillar aesthetic and Ice has these white-ish eyes that fit plenty of color combos. Though I do feel like Lightweaver looks kinda.. ehh, and Ice doesn't really have the best background. (Sorry anyone who's in those flights, not trying to throw shade here lol)
I think currently I'm just gonna stay in Wind flight for now. It has a pretty look, and Noodle Dad and the Cloudsong are just great. Also, if I ever change my flight, I'll have to pay tons of gems to change it again. So basically, if by the off-chance I do change my flight but then suddenly realize I don't like it and want to change back then, well.. I done messed up, girl.
