most of the familiars are cool, like having a beastclan ambassador, but some familiars would be downright stupid to own and bond to.
like why would you bond with [item=Terror Toad]. read that description. like what

Terror Toad
Familiar
Terror toads consume all life they encounter, growing with each meal.

You mean you don't put a muzzle on your terror toad?
[item=Aberrant Chacma] seems like a bad familiar to have. I have enough headaches on my own, I don't need theirs too.
[item=Fungalhoof Qiriq] seems like another one. Vibrant mushrooms are pretty out in the forest, but I'd rather not have them all over the yard or in the house and then have to deal with a ticked off equine with a horn as well.
These creatures leave a trail of vibrant fungi in their wake. Tracking a Fungalhoof Qiriq is easy; surviving an encounter with one is less so.

It is recommended to stay as far from these hostile creatures as possible -with the exception of plague dragons, who have a natural immunity to serpenta venom. (Colored by autumnalis.)

Idk, I like to think dragons that specialise in making venom antidotes would have these familiars.

I dunno; depending on how the spores are distributed, (i.e. if the name is accurate) you might be able to just, like, put little booties on it or something. (I'd imagine they'd have to be changed frequently, however.)

Considering the name is Fungalhoof, booties seem like they'd probably work and might be pretty cute. I'm wondering how well booties work in general for hoofed critters though...

I imagine the spores are dispersed by the glowing spots, as I cant see anything to indicate the hooves as being the point of dispersion aside from the name. Either way if it is the hooves, you're trying to change Booties on a unicorn that would rather kill you.
and I would not be surprised if they were around this size on average:
