Is anyone else irked by the Tidelord being missing for this long?
Also the Tidepop Gone and No Water Flight jokes annoy me as much as the Plague = Evil and Arcanaist Apocalypse jokes.
In my opinion, it's been going on for too long.

I joined only a month after Bounty of the Elements. Hear Today, Gone Tomorrow was published March 14th, 2018. It's been two years since the Tidelord has gone missing, and March of 2021 will mark three years. I understand major updates like a Modern Breed or a map update are a lot of hard work that takes time, and I deeply appreciate the Staff for working on stuff like that.
But, two real-time years with only an extra lore story as a hint? At this point, I just want him to come back. No lore, no breed, just maybe an announcement or hint or something. I just want him back.
How does everyone else feel about the subject?
Note: As much as I hope, I'm sadly skeptical by now that the New Ancient from the Staff streams is a Water breed. Most suspect it is either a Shadow or Arcane breed, and unfortunately I have to agree.

[color=purple]I promise you're not the only one. I'm not in Water, never have been, and sometimes I get unhappy thinking about how long Tidelord has been missing. For a site where allegiances to the deities and sending dragons to them for dominance is a focus, two years is far too long.
I try to balance the bad feelings by remembering that these things do take time, and I'm sure this year has been especially hard for everyone. But man, even just a tiny hint or lore tidbit would go a long way. [emoji=guardian sad size=1]

If I recall correctly, the Windsinger was gone from the Windswept Plateau for four years since 2014 until Bounty of the Elements, but that's different since he wasn't gone like the Tidelord is.
I really wish the staff could spend more of their time writing lore to continue on from BotE, but since almost everything in it was meant as a teaser for new site updates, that really isn't possible.

FR often takes its time with pretty much everything. And the Tidelord is hardly the only loose end of BOTE that’s still free-flying. We also have Earth’s mysterious disappearances and fossils, Light’s Emperor, and whatever Lightning is doing off the top of my head.

FR often takes its time with pretty much everything. And the Tidelord is hardly the only loose end of BOTE that’s still free-flying. We also have Earth’s mysterious disappearances and fossils, Light’s Emperor, and whatever Lightning is doing off the top of my head.
The time span gets to me sometimes, but then I remember that the reason has to be something really good for it to be taking so long. Map update and the new Modern being from Water are my biggest bets, and those would both be spectacular.

I know the Windsinger was all over the place for years, but they made a huge deal about the Tidelord's gone-ness and the lore stories and such have made it seem like there was going to be a huge reveal..
And we just haven't gotten one.

Honestly, I don't pay attention to the lore stories any more. Either things end on cliffhangers that are never addressed or the cliffhangers get resolved in really tame, anti-climatic ways (that I remember, anyway). We're gonna have someone in-story suggest he might be, then get shot down 2.5 seconds later by Suddenly Appearing Dragons.
So I just make my own lore out of what shiny bits I choose from canon.
