TOPIC | age needed for dragons to accrue value
hey, I was wondering how the current dragon market is looking

on average, how old does a dragon have to be before age becomes a determinant in it's price factor? thanks!

I think generally ID is more of a factor than age is in these things? Older dragons just tend to have lower ID's- which can be worth a LOT depending on how low!

Oh, but adult dragons do go for more than hatchlings since an adult can be put in the coli immediately.
....Not by much though it seems? On the fodder floor rn, a hatchling is 4g while a dragon is 5g. Could just be from issues with the dragon market right now. It's doing pretty bad since Dominance isn't doing well.

Yeah, seconding Recallback- ID is much more of a Thing. Low 8 digits are sometimes sought out, but normally 7 digits or below is where age/ID becomes a factor. #9999999 (the last seven digit) was hatched January 24, 2015.

If you want to delve into the society that thinks about old dragons, there's also Old Oaks: They generally deal with dragons more than 3 years old

6 digits and under are widely accepted as valuable and sought after, for a smaller section of FR it's 3 million and under (so low 7digit), in recent years that number has gone up a bit and anything 5-7 million seems to have gone up some, moreso for unbred G1s as time passes ofcourse. Regular dragons, not so much. I doubt we'll ever see much value for 8 digits, unless they're something special. There's just too dang many of them.

I bought a 2017 birthday dragon for 6kg, dates are indeed important, especially if very few were hatched on some random day that may be significant to someone.

7 dig imps are sort of valuable, any other breed goes for max 50g if theyre unbred.

6 digs currently go for at least 1kg.

and then it quickly gets really expensive when u get even lower ;)

I'd say you're more likely to find buyers and move dragons if they are 6 digits or below. There is a 7 digit market, but that doesn't mean its a big or lucrative market, and even 6 digits can go for a basic 1kg, compared to 5 digits which are usually in the 30, 40kg range.

7 digs are usually barely above LAH for dragons of that breed, but 6 dig and below are much more valuable. I'd say the price for 6 digit and below stacks exponentially, due to there being a lot less low ids in circulation.

For example, a typical 6 digit dragon can go for anywhere between 800g-5kg+ depending, whereas a 5 digit dragon is usually >8kg at it's lowest.
