What are some stereotypes of people in your flight? What about clans from other flights?

I'd say for Nature, it's always felt kind of like a hippie plant kid vibe to me. I see a lot of "cozy group of wholesome dragons in a town together" clan lore. (I am guilty of this) If you're in Nature flight and never went through a succulent phase, you are most likely an anomalous cryptid who lurks in the shadows, or absolutely unhinged.

I'm in nature and none of the three things listed above.

As for the question, I hate nature being seen as a bunch of tree huggers surrounded by bunnies and daffodils.

@vihuff

I stand corrected. i think i just spend my time around people who are all three of those, and over time i've just come to the conclusion that everyone in nature is like that.

I was in Nature for 4 years, started out with my clan being wholesome travelers and flowers but I later evolved into that unhinged anomalous cryptid lol. Now I'm in Arcane for eldritch horror reasons and I can't say I'm a big fan of it sometimes being reduced to just "The Pink Flight."

Also, despite not being in the flight and the aesthetic admittedly squicking me out a bit, I don't like how Plague seems to be constantly antagonized.

I was in Plague for about a year and there's a stereotype Plague is all edgelords and I gotta say that the overwhelming majority of the Plaguelings I've interacted with are very nice people and have a great sense of humor. Not everyone in Plague has an edgy lair, and even the ones who do aren't necessarily edgelords themselves. I get that the aesthetic really isn't everyone's thing but every time someone says people in Plague are messed up, they clearly don't know what they're talking about.

^ I’d argue that Plague is cool too! (Btw cool and edgy are different)

I suspect most people think of Lightning Flight as steampunk-loving weirdos/nerds who enjoy getting bossed around, but I haven’t been on the site very long, soooo... (I’d like a pro opinion here)

Also, does anyone know nature can be nasty? You know, like certain parasitic wasps. (Great now I’m definitely gonna have nightmares)

I never had succulents. I have mint and a complicated name plant on my window sill though.

Honestly though, thinking Nature peeps harmless is neither accurate nor really useful. Lots of sweet people here though - as is the case for all the other flights.

I don't think stereotypes work as a blank term for flights, but sometimes you get patterns and then deviations from said pattern.

Every time I see someone from Light I think they kinda rich tho. That shiny aesthetic. Obviously I've seen my fair share of newbie and casual light flights, but I tend to remember the shiniest lairs, and the shiniest dragons... So sparkly...

How'd you do it???

Also I'm convinced like 50% of Ice Flight love their non-clashy and cool primal and eye colors. Eye color might've been a tie-breaker for another flight.

Shadow dragon = Scorpio. They either fit the bill of mischievous tricksters out to WIN, or they're super quirky and joined bc of the damn cool glow in the dark and black emo tears aesthetic. And also their flight has one of the best areas??? Like Between Shadow, Light and Wind they all have really nice territory.

Water's good too. I feel like I don't see them around enough.

[color=indigo] Shadow is the edgy kid flight. We're all goths and emos, who love stereotypically edgy media and Halloween. Yes, I am contributing to the stereotype. [emoji=nocturne tongue size=2]

Plague does get the most 'negative' stereotypes, which is rather untrue for the most part. I feel like (mostly due to FR admins inadvertently pushing this narrative) people view plague as death and zombies when we're more the mutant survivor like Fallout kinda thing.
