I love you. I love this game. I love all you do.

I love your coli updates.

But please, may you listen with empathy when I say, by all that's holy, Please. Stop. Releasing. Coli. Updates. On. Or. Around. RoR. when we poor plaguelings are so dissatisfied with our nominal plague venue.

Once was mildly hurtful, but understandable. Twice was eyebrow raising. Thrice was salt in the wound.

But four times? Again? When you most apparently do not think a thematically plague venue is a priority? Please can you show a bit of tact?

It's all I ask. It seems such a small request. Please. I beg you. My poor plague heart cannot take it.

Edit: No, I definitely do not believe Devs are doing this on purpose or out of spite. I love the devs and they would never do such a thing.

When plague is so unhappy with wanting a representational venue after 6 years of waiting, the pattern stands out. Please, Devs, please pick a different release time.

I thought redrock cove was the plague venue? I thought it had the largest percentage of plague / neutral enemies

The last know plague official art that looked like it was actually in plague was the exalt pillar.

I agree that Plague does need a proper, plague-y venue (since as far as I can tell, Mire is the most Plague-y venue, and that's tenuous at best) but I can almost guarantee you that the timing on releases isn't specifically to spite Plague players.

The devs likely have a cycle by which they do coliseum updates, and that cycle just happens to complete most often around the end of October/beginning of November. There have been updates outside of that time, of course, probably depending on what the staff are working on behind the scenes/who's available for what, but it's likely just an unfortunate timing thing and not them purposefully snubbing Plague players.

In seriousness tho, I would like to see a proper plague venue, and I'm sure it's coming, but I think they're currently more focused on revamping stuff atm. It seems like they're releasing one new venue a year now? So maybe next year, who knows.

Honestly, I kinda don't blame them for not having a full plague venue yet. I love the plague aesthetic, monsters and body horror is def my thing, but I can only imagine how a certain part of the playerbase would react. I can see it now, millions of "I don't like *insert gross thing here* so I can't play this venue which is unfair D:<" threads would be made if the bunches of "I DEMAND that we are allowed to censor plague aesthetic" or "plague aesthetic kinda yucky" threads that pop up every october and throughout the year are anything to go by.

I could absolutely see them releasing a new apparel set or swipp item that requires mats from a plague venue and people going absolutely ballistic about not being able to grind there due to whatever reasons. The playerbase has fostered this "ew yucky plague, keep it away from me" to the point where I don't blame the devs for being afraid to release very plague-y things. For example, tell me ONE discord server that isn't plague's personal one (or maybe even they do, idk never been there) that doesn't have a rule for censoring plague themed content. I haven't seen one.

It's disappointing, because as a huge fan of body horror, I'd love more grotesque plague things, but it's unfortunately just how it is nowadays.
