There was a soft tapping nearby as a small Nocturne dragon attempted to gain attention from someone within the clan it was visiting. It's bright yellow eyes scanned the area until it spotted another dragon appearing, possibly to see what was going on. Happy to have finally received attention from someone, it leaped towards the stranger. As it grew closer to the dragon, it was clearer that there was a note within its grinning maw. When the piece of paper was taken, there was a soft purr from the small Nocturne, mimicking that of a cat. However, ignoring that, the note inside read:

What does matter is that I and the rest of the clan here in Plague have taken notice of the letter of support on the boards. There isn't much more that I will say, but I do hope that thank you is enough, even if it does not show just how much I, my clan, and even the rest of the flight appreciates the support - especially from a Nature flight. Attached to this letter should be a small bouquet of Heart Roses and a small bag of treasure. Do whatever your heart desires with these gifts.

I have a lot of love for my plague siblings so some of my best moments have to do with germs. I love that even though our lore has our flights at each other's throats, in reality, our communities are super close and friendly. I notice we're always the first to come to each other's defense.

On the rare occasion, if I have a ton of spare items and treasure, I'll go on a gifting spree with players that have been recently active and have a wishlist I can locate. 9/10 times I find one, and drop in a bit of something here and there. Depending on the lair, sometimes I throw a bit of RP elements in just to give the letters some floof.
I've had a few cases where I dropped small gifts in, a few bigger ones, and it just seemed to be the worst day for a lot of people. The PM's I got back nearly made me cry, some people were in tight life scenarios, others just having a bad day. Just by dropping a little something made their days, and they all thanked me up and down for coming in and just, making their day.
I try to do this once a year, and usually try and do it nowhere around a holiday. It's that idea that people should still get a little bit of happiness on any day, not just during festivities.
It's a quiet way of trying to make the world a little less awful.

for my own wholesome fr moment, i'd say it's how i met one of my best friends, @Reithya! i went on an "ancestor appreciation thread" and pinged the user who had a distant ancestor of one of my favorite dragons, and treated it kinda like a hatchling letter, and turns out, i was the only person who ever sent anything akin to a hatchling letter (even if it was from a greatx7th grandson), and that meant so much to her that we started talking, became friends, and have been super close ever since <3
edit: how could i forget bloom and unfair sdjkghdsfg
so in 2018 i gave my partner a light egg for their birthday, and they hatched a primal; after one color scatter they got xxy rose on her. so they promptly named her Unfair LOL. about 10 days later i think i lost an auction? and i was sad, so they sent me a nature egg to help me cheer up, and not only did i hatch a primal, but a color matchy primal??? and that was Bloom! so we hatched primal g1s of our flights from eggs we gave each other, both with good colors ^u^

My birthday hatch was a primal, this girl:

I was overjoyed at this unintentional birthday present, and posted about her in the forums, basically saying that I was super happy about this but needed a fresh set of genes to really make her special. A few minutes later, someone DMed me with gems, flowers, and her genes. I nearly cried with happiness!
I bought an absolutely GORGEOUS multigaze at fodder price a while back, and it didn't sit right with me that someone would sell her for that price. Ended up tracking down the seller (the user owned both parents and could provide a screenshot of the sale) and they sent me 10kt as a thank you for not keeping their accidental sell.
I posted in the buy/sell forums wanting to trade for elk ears, and someone just. CRd me a bunch of em. Said not to worry about trading.
Basically, any time I've posted in the forum needing something, someone has always come through and outright given me whatever I need, and I try to pay it forward whenever possible. This is one of the best communities I've seen on the internet, and I'm super glad to be a part of it!

I like periodically gifting people if they mention in the forums they need something I have extra of, or if someone said/did something cool/funny and I go visit their wishlist and I'm like "hey I have this, I'm not using that". When I was new and having a hard time getting a foothold in the coli, I made a post asking for advice and tips. I was flooded with expensive battlestones I couldn't afford (Eliminate, Rally, Ambush, etc.) and someone even gave me a level 25 fully statted and stoned dragon (my lovely girl Pox.)

I saw a post from a brand new user on reddit who had no idea how to get started and I gifted them a fully stoned level 25. I saw a thread a few weeks ago with someone who struggled in venues like Mire because they couldn't figure out the right build and even with elims Mire is just frustrating without Rally. I sent them a pm with 2 Rallys and tinctures. I try to do this a lot because I have a decent surplus of battle items and have no other real use for them. Plus I make money in other ways so I don't care about gifting some more expensive battle stones to deserving players.
