I have recently found myself enjoying rare coloured dragons and I definitely feel like they would be more in high demand but I also understand the appeal of the normal colours you see.
I am continually finding myself looking at the same colours over and over again on the auction house. It's quite boring honestly, I want something interesting but I see the same colours. (I'm sure there are others I can find, but not usually gened the way I want)
All the rare colours I have are XYZ but the colours all go well together.
I don't know, what does everyone else feel?
Is there a market for these dragons?
Edit:
There are a lot of good points made with the fact that eventually they won't be 'rare' anymore. But I think some of it has to do with the novelty of it.
Having a dragon that was rare, and it would be older than the others. Some could even say they had one of the first few.
There is a lot that goes into breeding and I am also a sucker for the same dragons a lot of the time but I don't know. I think its nice just being able to put in their bio, "First to have this combo" or the like. I know a lot of people don't feel the same but I don't just grab and keep dragons Willy nilly if they are a rare colour. I don't know until I look for a mate of my liking.
It'd all about what you like and prefer.
If you think the Dragon is special, then its worth it.

I am +3 FR time
It is nice to find a dragon with rare colour combination by only one or a few in existence. I do have one
dragon this way. However, I haven't seen any actual market for them. There are actually quite a lot around in the end. Even with the easy search function now, it requires a constant work to check every combination and keep them up to date.

Welcome to the club. I also spend a huge amount of time in the auction house and looking at the same color combos over and over does get really boring. Unfortunately there is no market for real color rariety. Even dragons who were the first of their color to ever exist or the only one not exalted are not perceived as rare by most players.
I mean it's fine for me, I'll just be over here hoarding OOAKs and firsts but it does make me a little sad when people act like a crimson/crimson/gold dragon is some kind of amazing score when I run across 50 of them a day in the exalt fodder mountain.

I've made a couple of breeding pairs with color combos that had never existed before. I don't know how high the demand really is for rare colors, per se, since eventually those colors won't be rare anymore. But there's definitely a demand for dragons that don't look like every other dragon you see.

I have a lot of dragons that are the only dragons on site with their colours, and I'm trying to sell one of them but no one wants to buy him. It's weird because aren't they supposed to be worth a lot because they're unique? I'm not selling him for much, and I already sold his Primal sibling who had rare colours as well...
The dragon's name is Vibrant, he's kind of an eyeburner and I'm keeping him in @
RawDolphin 's account like all the other dragons i'm selling. He's just been sitting there for a month not really being offered for...

This is why I adore breeding my own dragons at random for fodder. Sometimes the dragons that are born sport such weird colour/gene combos I simply MUST have something that bizzare in my lair!
But, since fodder breeding is one of my main incomes, I never keep my hatchlings. But! this does give a nice insight of what colour/gene combos I'd like to have in my lair in the future. And then I start from there!
But I am more biased when it comes to genes, rather than colours. I catch myself looking at dragons that have the genes I like the most, also when scrying I keep using the same genes, which results in..well.. the same things all over and over, no matter the colour. So, I kinda feel you ;w;

I love XYZs and I agree that the same colors get boring— but I also wouldn't buy a dragon purely because their color combo is unique. First off, there are so many colors that I think a LOT of combos are unique, and also I feel like generally when that happens, it's because the colors just... don't go well together.
my goal is rlly just that I just want my dragons to look kind of nice lol
Edit: Just checked my lair and found one completely unique dragon, only one on the site, plus another that was one of two and the other was dead. And that was just the two dragons I looked at. I just don't think having a unique combo is rare, I guess?

Meh. I guess its cool, but I just dont really care. Coral is actually the only active dragon with her colors, there are four in total, the other three are exalted. She’s also a G1 so thats cool I guess. My G1 wind rep Ted actually has the same exact situation. Pretty wack

We don't really care. With the amount of possible colour combos a lot of colours end up being rare and the nature of the game means that they'll all end up less rare eventually. What matters to us is that we like how the dragon looks, it doesn't matter how many similar ones exist.
