So I want to save enough for a bee gene to finish one of my projects right?
I run myself in circles thinking about ways to get gems fast, eventually settling on 'I'll just wait' again.
Then I feel kinda in a funk- impulse buy a dragon, and find an accent for them on the AH. A UMA. Still don't have a way to get gems fast enough.
*Sighs* Anyone interested in art? I might be up for it.

I have several dragons I want to gene, but other things always distract me. Just today I got a gem scene for my progen when I was supposed to be saving for petals :((
Putting all my treasure and gems in a vault has helped a little though, I'm even trying to save my chests too

I've done the same thing!
I've found what works best for me is putting gems away into my vault little by little or telling myself I need to focus on one long-term dragon project at a time, but the latter is harder to commit to as new stuff comes out.

i'm trying to save for wasp so i finish one of my fandragons but it's very hard to get gems. the best way i see is doing cheap but high quality adopts. maybe you'll srtess yourself for hours trying to draw that complex accent and 15 pieces of apparel plus complex genes just for 200 gems, but i don't see any other way lol

Vault it and forget. The extra step to get the gems out of vault make you think beffore you do it.
Also selling baldwin mats and brewed things for gems.

I have had this issue before too. My cures were:
Sell EVERYTHING for gems.
Make sure I have all of my lower-bonding-level familiars equipped. This actually did more for me because I have such a large lair, even if it took a while.
