Why in the actual- why is glowtail 1200 geeeems :(( same with filigreeee whyyyyy

i understand glimmer and stained (kind of) and all the secondary and primary gem gens cause they add a lot and they def look expensive
opal is good at that price too

but- no actually? no cause there are like, what, 4 tert gem gens? opal filigree, circuit, glimmer and glowtail

from all of them only 2 seem fair at 1200g's. which is glimmer and opal.

filigree doesnt seem worth that much

why? because what we get in exchange just doesnt feel right :(
even stained which is a very simple gen gimes more edit or fancy stuff to the dragon

hngn f- the more i think about it the more it feels okay and right for it to be 1200, maybe 1000.

glowtail is a big no- that has to be like 800 or 1000 :( maybe if it gave some glimmer to the paws too AAH! thatd be amaziiing




and circuit just doesnt feel gem gen anymore. Its hard to combine, the end at the wings is weird- maybe perhaps if they edited it so that the end of the wings or the circuit gen itself had some sort of color shift like shimmer does (or blend and fade) itd be worth it

im just :(( mad of not having gems yeah but im also mad cause they dont feel worth it and at the end of the day i dont feel like gening my dragons who could look amazing with said gens u_u

anyway im salty. I still love them, im not going to stop playing, no intention to throw crap at anyone either, they look amazing just the way they are

(and circuit is old so, its best to hope for new incomming gem gens in the future!)

I relate to not liking circuit all that much, but tbh if the gem genes were different prices it would just cause chaos, it makes sense that they're the same because gem genes are their own tier (vs common, uncommon, rare, limited, etc. treasure genes that have different prices) so it's really just how it is, no way for it to change really, but I get where you're coming from!

I'd definitely love it if it was a Baldwin gene [s]and totally replaced Keel coughcough[/s] but I guess you have to take the good with the bad. Not every gene is going to be a hit. It would be nice if it didn't feel like a blatant lazy cashgrab, though. I do agree with @/EWSpirit that differering gem prices would get messy, though they do feel high? I dunno. I'm not an economist.

I guess it really depends on how much you like a gene. See, I don't understand why stained is so expensive because it's a literal filter over your dragon and I'd never pay 1200 gems for that, but filigree is absolutely worth it in my opinion, it's so pretty!

And circuit is really old, lol. It's not fair to compare 2013 genes with 2020 ones. Although I still have a soft spot for a lot of the older genes...

I can agree with glowtail. I like using the gene, but it's definitely not as flashy as some of the others. I actually have a hard time seeing the value in Glimmer, too. It can be pretty, I just don't think it's a "Wow so cool/pretty!" kinda gene, you know?

Circuit is fine by me, as well as filigree (I love filigree...)

I only really like Glowtail on certain dragons, with specific colors and genes. It's not as versatile as other genes I feel. I feel like it should cost less, along with filigree.

I plainly just hate circuit...my dragons are not robots. imo I think Circuit is much less workable for than Glowtail.

I often wonder if there's some statistics for which items/genes sell best from the gem marketplace. I'd be really interested in knowing those stats. xD
