Idk im a believer SORRY. and the old hoard.... old lairs... Our first light anniversary AND I DIDIN'T SNAG A LIGHT SPRITE. Or when we decided to sell our familiars wayyyy too early on. What are some of your fondest memories when you first began? [/center]

Omg same on the light sprite! I still kick myself for not grabbing one! It was an uphill battle once the fest ended, but after coming back from hiatus it was nothing but a fairytail.

I really wish I knew of this site earlier so I could have funded the kickstarter!! Once in a lifetime opportunity gone.

Naw you weren't able to choose the tert. I most likely would've went for another blue. I sadly can't really remember much when I was new. I do remember being really happy when I got my first familiar at least. It was a Psywurm i bought on the AH.

I can't believe FR's 7 years old either. I joined in 2014 and played obsessively but then went on hiatus in 2016 and only just recently got back... I remember the older days and spent so much time on FR back then, yet by now I was inactive for most of the site's lifetime. I'm mad that I went on hiatus now but I really didn't think I was coming back. It feels weird, like I'm both a veteran player and not one at the same time. (I see anyone who joined in 2017 and think they're new but they may have more experience than me. Oops.)

The new hoard and dragon pages were definitely hard to adjust to. The gem ratio too, oof. It was 1:550 last I remember, I was so confused seeing 1:1200 when I logged back on.

You definitely could not choose your progen's tert. Mine ended up with a colour I hate and I only triple gened her last year when a gene came out that made it look acceptable.

I also made a few questionable decisions. I didn't get anything from the light fest either (the site was literally unplayable for me during June, the combination of the site's lag, my old windows XP pc, and my family's 20gb of bandwidth was literal hell) but I probably should have bought them next month when they were still cheap.

I also hoardsold my twice dyed cowl back when you could do stuff like that (because all I had were faes, and the cowls clip so horribly with their frills). I wish I hadn't done that, they're so valuable now! But I did keep my Akirbeak, it was my first familiar.

Tbh I don't actually miss old FR that much. Due to the aforementioned lag (remember the great mistakes were made apocalypse?), the fact that making treasure was so hard (imagine grinding Shock Switch, praying it doesn't crash, for hours), there were so few available gene and apparel choices, and dragons were frickin' expensive!

[center] @Saccharine the gem ratio change is absolutely insane. I've made the majority of mine off of offsite trading because I cannot afford to buy gems with money and treasure. Yeah I agree I feel like "newer" players know a lot more than I do at this point because of my hiatus. Although I wish I had stayed for a little bit longer because I ended up missing out on a ton of apparel/familiars [emoji=ridgeback deadpan size=1] @Kitava OH MY GOD THE LAG. I completely forgot about that! The site is so stable now that I buried that memory deep down. Gen1s were the holy grail of the auction house. Obsessions were double obsidian with shimmer and iridescent back then if I remember correctly. [/center]

i regret not funding the kickstarter. i did have undel's drawing dragons book, if i found it i totally would've backed. huge regret
