or maybe a Scroll of Time Reversal?
because after that long wait to finally breed my expensive veilspuns, i cant seriously be stuck with another 1 egg nest? not after getting wegged by my special halloween couple last month? and the time before that?
surely there must be a Potion of Re-Roll in the gem market?
if not, then there should be.

There's only the Boon of Fertility to hatch the nest as fast as possible and then I guess yeet the baby...
Alas, no Potion of Delete Baby

the funniest crap I’ve seen all day, thank you, but yes, I feel it would need to be pretty expensive though.

oof. I've had that problem so many times. That hurts bro
A while ago I came up with the idea of a trading post egg adoption centre that's guarded by a sentient Akirbeak. (Reason: Description says "This peculiar fowl collects any unattended eggs it may find, creating a vast nest of pilfered eggs to brood over." A reference to Akiri taking care of people's nests during the extended downtime back during the early days of the website.)
To prevent the influx of adopt-to-exalt/adopt-to-sell people: adopted dragons are the equivalent of progenitors. They don't give any money at all when you exalt them and they can't be sold or traded.
Adopted dragons are free. You could pick from a clutch of Imperials or a clutch of Bogsneaks or Fae, etc. You could get a mixed clutch. If they were adopted as eggs, they would go into your hoard, and would be clanbound so they couldn't be sold. When you hatch them, their eyecolours would be different as well. Nocturnes, despite being a modern breed, have different type of egg than what's seen in the Nesting Grounds, so there's definitely different type of eggs depending on the breed of dragon. I suppose there would have to be something like '(Clanbound) Unhatched [ex. Fae] Egg'. You could adopt up to 5 every week.
(I suppose, after a while, eggs would have to be deleted to keep the site from lagging, so eggrot would probably still exist in-lore, the excuse being 'the magic of the nests in dragon lairs keeps the eggs from rotting, but in a trading post neutral zone there's not much magic, so eggs can rot'.)
In their bios their parents are considered [unknown] rather than [none], since they're technically not Gen1s. Dragons who have been bred and their eggs donated have no children listed in their bios, but still have the cooldown.
Maybe that'd be too much to implement or maybe people wouldn't like it, but that's the best thing that I can think of...

@Zavyt Have you put this in Suggestions? This sounds fantastic!
Edit: Some questions. Would players donate unwanted eggs to this adoption center? And would the dragons, once hatched, have genes and color inherited from their unknown parents, or be all basic like gen1s?
