i have a some permababies that are older than most of my actual adult dragons, but i can't find a good lore way around this? kinda just frustrated, i wanna see if anyone else has ideas before i give up & i just have to state my headcanon age in their bios

i would definitely recommend just ignoring the site age of the dragon, most people do that for even non-permababy dragons anyway in their lore
you COULD have permababies that are childlike supernatural creatures like fairies, or characters who died as children and are ghosts now, and that's a fun lore premise, but like, you can just make them regular kids in their lore, it doesn't matter if they've been around since the beginning of the site, i don't think most people even notice that when they're reading bios

Time travel, perhaps? Or maybe they got stuck in a dimensional rift or something? Having permababies that are technically older than some of your adult dragons is kinda inevitable, unfortunately. Even if it's the youngest dragon in your clan when you get it, the only way that it can stay that way is if you never obtain another adult dragon born after them.

Oh boy have I got a lore story for you. In short, they’re unstable time controllers. As soon as they hatch, they tend to warp time around them. Usually everything turns out fine, but sometimes... you get a terrified child who just caused a Timepocalypse
