It was theorized before, but it's nice to have confirmation! I also like the idea that Prudence is some kind of Roc dwarf. It's a fun bit of lore.

If I ever get a Roc I'm totally naming it Prudence.

If I make a Fiona fan dragon to go with my Crim and Pinkerton I will absolutely give her a Roc familiar and name it Prudence

The roc, I believe, was actually the favorite for the 'who is Prudence' threads. Though I believe most thought Prudence was a juvenile Roc, not adult, so that is a nice little tidbit, and gives a nice bit more variety/lore to the familiars (that Rocs can come in smaller sizes than normal and wouldn't normally survive etc..)

It might be smaller than normal, but I get the feeling that Fiona is very much like Hagrid. Her 'adorable baby' is what most other dragons would call 'a giant fluffy monster'. And I suspect that the Dev's answer was couched that way.
