Are the chests made by nocturnes or do they just happen to come out at the same time?

@Umbra, the strange chests are created by the Nocturnes while the chest familiars are just Mimics with really good camoflauge that pop out to attack others ^^

This scene and this post made chest mimics cute to me, and that's a huge feat after games keep going out of their way to make them horrifying in various ways. [emoji=ridgeback love size=1] What an adorable detail.

Now I want to make some old dragon who has a pack of strange chests they keep as pets, with art of the dragon feeding the chests and walking them around the lair with a leash.
