Just genuinely wondering if I should truly go on selling my sprites or save them up because the AH prices are going wild?
Like? Is there a reason or is it just people going wild setting so high prices for no real reason?
I know light sprite is expensive as heck and fire sprite has been on the 12-13kg for a while but some others are going up and down so....weirdly

It could be because people are liquidating to get money for new years and for NOTN. It is a good time to liquidate.

I was wondering what's up with prices, too, as a buyer. I only need a few more, so I was saving for fire since it's the most expensive of the ones I still need other than light. NotN finally got me to 13kg so I knew I'd have enough for it... and suddenly there's way fewer total sprites on AH and fire is 15kg. [emoji=coatl sad size=2] Maybe other people have been saving like me and reached their goal with NotN earnings, so they bought sprites they've been wanting? idk, but I'm bummed I've been trying so hard to save and still can't get the darn thing.

There’s a LOT of money changing hands right now.

On one hand, a lot of people are liquidating to get funds for NotN.

On the OTHER hand, a lot of people are finally hitting bigs saving goals and spending.

I noticed prices were a lot lower at the beginning of the week (it’s when I picked up my Speedy, Fangar, and Wind Sprite) and I’m not super surprised they’re still all over the place.

I have no doubt they’ll even back out eventually though, prices will probably return to relative “normal” around the Gala.

This is a great time to buy low on certain items because people are liquidating for NOTN funds. But some other items are getting price gouged because lots of people have a lot more money than usual and are looking to spend big.

Whenever I see Threads like this about prices getting higher, I get scared that I will never be able to get the Shadow Sprite. I mean, I can totally life with never getting my hands on the light Sprite but the Shadow Sprite is my own flight and I want it so badly.

I know this is not the topic. Just had to get this off my chest.

@AaliyahMoon i feel your pain, i have been wanting to get an arcane sprite because of my clan element. But they are getting more expensive, and i dont have nearly enough money to get one still. Though if i was in nature i would be able to buy one pretty easily cause for whatever reason they are super cheap compared to other sprites.

I saw this thread earlier today, and I should've raised my sprite price when I saw it, but I didn't, and now it's sold. Well at least it's sold now. I've had it on the AH for a little while. Enjoy your arcane sprite mystery buyer!

Dang I have not looked at sprite prices for a while. Perhaps I should save up to get the last two sprites I need then. People are getting a lot more money too because of notn, I made around 6000 gems this week and a half, though I spent 4000 of them on Christmas to treat myself.

As someone finally saving for most of the sprites but who hasn't been tracking sprite prices before the back half of this year, I am super relieved that prices are likely to be going back down. (I am a 2014-joining fool who wrote the earlier ones off as impossible at the time.) But hey, time to chuck a couple of my old sprites on the AH!

@Bobcatticus: Nature, and to a lesser extent Water, are cheaper than the other sprites because back in ye olden days registration wasn't open; they'd open it for a window of a couple of days and then close it again. During the year of the sprites, there was a registration a week or two before the Wavecrest Saturnalia (that was my window), and then another registration the next month before the Greenskeeper Gathering. More users gathering sprites to re-sell later = more sprites available in the market to be re-sold.
