A good suggestion from me is to think of names that would be fitting for your future dragons! Ultraviolet is already fairly fitting for your veilspun. Random fantasy name generators can also help!
Depends on the type of dragon! There are quite a few naming schemes I use, as I'm not the biggest fan of monolairs (no bad thoughts against people who have them, I just like too many different breeds/colors)
- Fandragons already have names so That isnt too hard.
- Flight Reps Have something to do with their flight (except for Rime but thats a different story)
- The Coliseum Department has a bunch of latin words smushed together to make names. Venglacium is Ice, Venmortuis is very much Dead, so on and so forth.
- Holiday dragons are easy peasy.
- Anything else is usually whatever garbage my brain spits out at that moment, or has something to do with their job.

There was a time he thought a single

Usually I pick a botanical name for them unless something better appears in my head.

Usually use a random fantasy name generator, but I'll also smash together letters or sounds until I get something I like.
Leave them Unnamed for months (or longer) until something comes to me.
Names (frequently fantasy place names along with character names) from books that I like the sound of.
Googling for "names related to x" kind of thing if I want to have it based on a theme that fits the dragon.
Random sounds I like, especially if I can find a spelling I find pleasing to look at.
Mostly it's leave them Unnamed though. I am bad at naming.

The random name generator is great for when I have no idea what to do, but mostly it's just stringing together letters and sounds and seeing what fits best/sound nifty. For example, Kettricken is from the random name generator and I just love how it sounds and looks, while Perilosolus went through a name decision process that looked something like Persilo to Periliso to Perolus to Persolus to Perisolus to Perilosolus :)

I put together a bunch of letters until they sound like a name. I don't think any of my names have actual meaning but they just sound cool.
