Flight Rising Discussion

I wonder how many people will be on site for it? All the site crashing and lagging for the ancients is one thing but how many people will be here for the map. I seriously hope these new servers can handle the crowds long enough for me to actually see the map.

And I’m curious to know if there’s going to be any mass flight migrating over the map either. I can assume a few people may change flights but I’m interested to know how many people will move to a different flight in the week after the update.

And I seriously hope gem rates don’t see another leap due to flight changes either.

Also what about new area with new lore or if the map will show places from the bote stories. But I’m wondering if I’ll even be able to see the map with my own two eyes or if it’ll be lagging so bad I’ll have to wait a few days.

Oh no, trying to interact with the map is probably going to be a nightmare if a lot of people are going to be online. But now I'm also curious if the map and new lore/areas will cause a spike in flight changes.

oooooh i didn't even think about flight changes! i think it's very possible, a few new areas have been confirmed (Light's preview, for example) so depending on what they offer, and the fact that we're supposed to be able to pick our lair locations, that could definitely encourage folks to switch.

on the flipside, we'll also have folks that have put off lair expansions due to wanting to stay in their current location. if they can choose their location no matter the size, then they can sink more treasure into expanding and that might help the gem ratios a bit, depending on how many people decided to wait.

I don’t think mmost people will get to see the map day one because the insane amount of people that will be trying to open the page. And the announcement page is probably going to be lagging so bad. It’s going to be nuts!

Like with most major updates, the site's probably going to be borderline unusable for the first 12 hours, and will slowly get better as time goes on.

I didn't consider the impact it might have on flight changes, though. I'm pretty happy where I am right now, so it never occurred to me, but I can def see how that might happen.

I'm just looking forward to new art and lore.

I'm kind of bound to Wind lore-wise, but yeah I'm ready for the chaos.

Nature's tree is supposed to be visible from everywhere.

Oh, you're right! There might be a lot of flight migrations since some of the under-loved flights might get really nice locations. Unfortunately, I don't have enough gems for a change, but our festival's soon so I wouldn't really want to change anyways.
