As I’ve played FR over the years, I think the thing that attracts me most to this fun dragon game is the resource management aspect of it all. Deciding where to gather items for the day, what would best suit your needs. Should I look for hibernal items? Or hopefully look for eggs? What should I sell on the AH today, and how should I price it? Should I keep the familiars in my hoard and wait for them to appreciate, or sell them now? Is it best to turn my treasure into gems now, since gems hold value for longer, or spend the treasure to fill my beastiary?

I also really like just having massive amounts of stuff in my hoard... not even particularly useful stuff. I’ve got loads of Glowing Pocket Mice and Ember Mice. They’re super cute!

I like the community. It's very sweet compared to a lot of other ones.

Also, just the way you can put the game down at any time and come back to it. Your dragons aren't going anywhere, your stuff's not gonna become obsolete if you leave. If anything it just gains a higher price tag. I go on frequent hiatuses but I always come back, because I can do that with FR.

I like the art style. I've played a lot of games for the pretty art, but this is one of them that has enough nice stuff to make me stick around!

I like how active it is, in both updates and community stuff. There's always someone to talk to, and there's always something new and shiny to get. I want to be here often to get all the new things like festival items, new apparel items, new genes, etc.

The community has got to be the number one thing.

but one thing I've realized that makes me happy is simply breeding pairs and collecting and dressing up dragons that I think are pretty just to show off.

Also the rewarding feeling of getting a project complete, if I was starting to feel out of it and I finally complete a project it kinda reignites my love.

And one thing that really ignited my love for the game was after I decided to do a complete change of profile. I revamped everything, changed my name and my flight. I can always seem to find things to do and honestly I could continue writing a full essay for how much I love this game.

Honestly, I just love the economics aspect of browser games like this. Just earning currency, buying things low to sell them high and just buying nice things with it.

But of course this community is very special with how loving and accepting it is. :')

Clan lore. Fleshing out a setting and characters, writing bios, planning out connections and storylines... that's the thing that really keeps me invested in the site and I'm always thinking about it. I returned after a four-year hiatus (due to IRL stuff) because I missed my dragon characters. Finding and reading other people's really good lore is one of my favorite things.

One day, will these too become but distant memories?
. . .
Yes, in the blink of an eye.

Collecting things. There's so much to get in this game whether it be familiars or dragons

I love completing bios and just glancing at pretty dragons ive collected. Theres just something super satisfying about seeing the progress you've made in this game!

I like how my lair is kind of just my space, and I can do whatever I want with it. I want to throw all of my dragons away? Fine. I want to get more dragons? Sounds good! I want to restart every last scrap of lore? Absolutely.

I really like that.
