Where could you get water in the scorched forest? I'm writing lore and I didn't think about this. Can someone help me out?

It always evaporates and then precipitates in an endless cycle. Since it's in a fire domain it'll be really rare for water to be condensed into an actual liquid, so it may as well be a burnt desert or dragons drink water vapor

might have to dig really far for it. maybe only found with really deep wells?
might not even have water, and the plant life, much like the dragons from it, are Fire elementals. they might not even need water and gain nutrients from the things they devour.

... this is probably very inconvenient for non Fire dragons.

is very likely to take your posts literally - has difficulty discerning if tone is joking

To answer the question, I would guess groundwater. :)

Maybe dragons travelling through the Ashfall Wastes carry a canteen or water bottle with them to make sure they have fresh, clean water on them. Travelling dragons would probably have a canteen or two no matter where they're going because who knows whether the next water source they find will be sufficient enough for them or even safe enough to drink.

Both the ocean and the Sea of a Thousand Currents are nearby, and fire dragons are able to build complex machines or buy them from the Lightning Flight, so maybe they have machines that take the salt out of the salt water so they could drink it. Dragons are also magical, so maybe they can drink salt water anyway.
