TOPIC | I Haven't Expanded in Three Months
1 2 3 4
I haven't expanded in three months, and I have somehow lived off of 65 lair spots and 20 left over, I don't know how I do it, but I am very self controlled.
Everyone is on about feeding woes and I am just over here like: 'But can't you just exalt them till you have a decent amount?"
Does anyone know a way to get more dragons? and get attached to them?

I used to be one of those players who had plenty of lairspace but a few monthe ago I found out my lair was overflowing :| about the feeding stuff... I just buy a stack of food every time I'm missing something xD
btw I just can't exalt anything. Even if it meant I had to throw someone pretty on the AH for fodder
And for the last question... no idea? I'm pretty impulse, so I mostly just buy pretty dragons, loose interest after like 1 month, and yeet for fodder on the AH

I’ve had 70 lair spots since 2019 because I’m way to cheap to expand lol

When I expanded my lair it was very gradually and I always made sure that whatever dragon I got from the auction house I wanted to keep in my lair for a long time. Sometimes while saving up treasure for the next expansion I would avoid the dragon tab entirely which worked out in the end because I could refine my preferences to make sure I was only getting dragons that I knew I would like looking at for many more months to come. So that's how I'm attached to all of my permanents. That is an extreme amount of self control you have, it's admirable.

I've only ever exalted permanent dragons for lore reasons which happened to just a few of them. Otherwise the majority of the dragons that I have bought stay in my lair apart from those I exalted during a dominance push.

Currently on a semi-hiatus, still online frequently.
Hyperfixated on history, science, comics, and the transformers franchise.
Everyone who isn't busy goes in the hibden, and every once in a while I purge dragons I can't come up with lore for.

My next expansion will let me choose any lair location I want and that will probably be my last one for a long while

I’ve got 85 lair spots and expanding is just super expensive now. And they go through so much food!

I always run out of space lol, I had to unlock the gem slots when I had the chance. The more the merrier in my opinion. :)

I'm good with 200 slots for now, gotta grind hibden items and save up for Flight domination to get a slot here and there.

100 regular lair slots so I can say I’m an ancient lair, 287 hibden slots and counting. Permanent dragons literally take up 10% of the space I have and honestly I have an urge to cut down even further - I don’t like having too many perma dragons, even if I like them individually.

Free max level brewing. Thread here!
I had to expand because breeding projects... :'D and I get too attached, and I am a lot on combos that mean something to me so ah. gotta have many dragons. never had food issues as I gather everyday, most of dragons is in den anyway, I coli here and there (once a month pfftt)
I expand twice a year when ice has dom, but when I do, I buy lairspace twice. once bought it five times when it costed me bit less. now I wanna expand just to have all unlocked (except 10 from den, those being eggs and boss fams) because it feels nice to see big number of free spaces

I feel attached to my dragons because I've bred them myself, as the children of parents I'm already attached to, either because they're pretty or they're lore-significant or both.

Whenever it's possible to buy more lair or den space, I buy it, and promptly fill it up with new hatchlings. And then I go back to trying to decide which of these dragons, who I'd keep all of if I could, will be the ones to be exalted so I can hatch the next nest.

Each dragon matters to me because they're the children of two other dragons that matter to me, or in the case of dragons I've bought, because they're the mate of a dragon that matters to me, and the other parent of that dragon's children.

So I don't have any trouble acquiring more dragons, or becoming attached to them. My problem comes from the conflicting desires to Make More Babies while keeping all the current ones. :)

Buying an additional apparel slot
unlocks it for ALL your dragons,
not just one!
