-added alternatives to the current lair backgrounds.

I really want to move to earth, I love the lore, I love the locations, I love the aesthetic. But only the aesthetic of the new art. I have my gripes with most outdated art to begin with, but the lair banners and backgrounds are the worst offenders.

Dragonhome looks amazing on the map, honestly! It looks lively despite it mostly being a barren rocky desert. But the lair banner... doesn't really have the same charm. (And that's not even talking about the quality difference in the art itself)

I honestly have been quietly hoping for alternatives to the flight backgrounds for years now, along with being able to choose your lair location. We got the latter! But not the former. And with even more locations being added to the game, I don't really have high hopes anymore.

EDIT: ended up just going with it, actually. I'm in earth now!

I don't ever plan to leave Lightning, but new lair background art would be amazing.

Lightning is another one of those flights I'd really like to visit if we ever get new background art. Same story as earth, tbh!

Nope. I never really pay attention to the flight art topper thingie. I'm in Earth because I want to be in Earth, not because of one banner.

Haha, fair enough. I actually am tempted to move (once I gather up the gems) anyways, I might like the lore enough to forgive a boring flight banner.

I left two flights in large part because I couldn't stand the flight banner every day for months (yes, one of those two flights was Earth; the other was my original flight, Fire), and I joined Ice in large part because I like the flight banner. I wouldn't leave Ice unless we got a flight banner that I hated, but that's probably not going to happen - if they're based on new World Map locations I think any of them would be acceptable.

...I'm in Light partially because I missed the lair background piece so much that I had to come home... so it getting a revamp would be bittersweet for me. On the other hand, could be a straight improvement, somehow?

very fair haha. That's part of why I went with ice around half a year ago as well. And now I'm starting to get bored of the banner again, oh well.

Ideally they wouldn't actually replace the current art, just add alternatives. I don't want another community uproar to happen, honestly.

As an earth flight member myself, I crave updated banner art.

i'd love if we got updated lair backgrounds! i wouldn't move flights but it'd be neat if the banner reflected the actual sublocation your lair is in. an emperor's wake themed banner with luminax in the bg would be sick
