So. We all know about Runestones of the Arcanist, a simple memory game? Correct?
Well, today I remembered about the extra elements in it, beyond the regular 11 flights:
Blood, Spirit, Venom, Metal, Pillar, Spiral, Life, Truth, Chaos, Cloud, Clan, and most interestingly: Time.
Does anyone else wonder about them? I know they were likely made to fill out RotA, but, they are still an interesting part of FR. It's an interesting idea to think about if they did hold a significant role in the lore, what role would the play? Idk. Just food for thought.

YES!! I ponder them from time to time and wonder what could be. Time, Chaos and Spirit especially interest me. Like what their deities and aesthetics would be

I've always just viewed them as subcategories, for lack of better words.
Like, "Wind magic" is pretty broad. It covers everything to do with wind, but its more than likely that not every dragon is gonna know everything about their element. There could be different classifications, which is where the RotA 'elements' come into play. For example: An earth dragon that specializes in metal spells, a nature dragon (Or arguably plague) who has a knack for venom, etc...

Considering how it seems like when big conflicts between the Eleven happen, or magic disaster occur, a new element/deity is born, I wouldn't be surprised lore-wise if they manifest in the far future. Also considering some of the First Age text, I expect the Chaos deity would be the 0th Primordial Entity.

I feel like at least some of these align with the flights.
Blood=Plague, Spirit=?, Venom=Nature, Metal=Lightning, Pillar=Earth, Spiral=?, Life=also Nature, Truth=Light?, Chaos=Arcane or maybe Shadow, Cloud=Water or Wind, Clan=?, and Time=?.
But they could be other ideas that could've made good elements but didn't make the cut.
I feel like Blood, Spirit, Metal, Life, Chaos, and Time could've made good elements but the others feel a bit less so.

I like to think of them as runestones that dragons make, not flight-potentials the devs came up with. So it's natural the existing elements would turn up as standard in any set, and then the rest are things the dragons pick - why? what significance? do the stones vary by region/culture/set? etc.
fun fact the shadow festival tricksters cards and its recolor counterpart will always have the dragon wearing it look at the truth card

This makes more sense!
Pillar is definitely the Pillar of the World, Clan is an essential concept to most every dragon, and Time is an essential concept to everyone. Life, Spirit, Truth, Blood, and Chaos also seem universally important. Venom, Spiral, and Cloud are a bit less clear.

I've seen people talk about them potentially being related to the breeds instead of flights.
