I'm imagining the following

So, you are nesting a Lightning and a Fire dragon together. With a rare chance, you could get a dragon with complete heterochromia. The eyes are that of the eye type, so if you get Uncommon, both eyes are Uncommon.

Spice follows up

When applying any eye vial to a heterochromatic dragon, you could select the right or left eye. Applying to both at the same time could be a possibility as well.

Of course, coding this would be hellish, but. One can dream.
