It's kinda funny to me, this really strong dragon just takes two noobs out into the wilds, completely obliterates a bunch of monsters while they just watch and after some time it's like okay you're ready to join [insert deity of choice here]'s army now :) have fun :)

The same happens for me - except the noobs get violently obliterated by creatures in the higher venues, then wake up the next fight, not knowing what even happened

You're brought into your new Clan, led there by a courier. You think briefly about how courtiers always know exactly where to go. How was it so? Some sort of magical internal guidance system? You don't get to dwell on the idea long, as you're finally to the entrance of your new home.

Your wings are a little tired from he journey, having just flown halfway across Sornieth in just a couple days time. You're eager to rest, though it would be impolite to do so without meeting your new Clanmates. You see the other dragons, dressed in silks, ribbons, armors, all draped across their hides. You can tell this Clan boasts a decent amount of wealth.

Before you know it, you're interrupted by the arrival of another. A male Fae, small. His colors bright and cheerful. His violet eyes indicate his Shadow birth.

Before you're able to introduce yourself to the other new member, both of you are Sept up by a Ridgeback. You can tell by his many scars that he's been in many fights, dating back ages, maybe even before your own hatching.

"Come with me," his voice is gravely, rough. But there isn't time to waste. He's already off and moving, his large wings carrying him through the air. You and the Fae look at each other with confusion, though you do an you're told. The Fae scrambles briefly, his wings flapping clumsily as he sort of tumbles upward at first. You shrug and get a cantering start, lifting into the air on your own wings.

Luckily, you haven't lost the Ridgeback. You catch up to him.

"Uh, hi, my name is ________," You offer, somewhat awkwardly.

"Caide." His dark head stares forward, his Fire-colored eyes fixed ahead.

"I'm Dace!" The Fae chirps, in a typical monotone.

"Where are we uh, going?" Your already tired wings are beginning to feel somewhat sore.

Caide offers nothing in return, but begins to circle, indicating a descent. You can't see the ground very well from this height, but you can see a .lot of green shapes. Looking back to the massive Ridgeback, you get the feeling he has done this many times. You can see his wings, as their topaz sheen contrasts with the green of the forest, as he spirals lower and lower. You notice Dace fold his wings and dive downward, long, swan-like neck outstretched.

You're about to ask another question, but you see Caide sring forward towards a creature you didn't even notice. It's orange-yellow hide flashes with Caide's earth-colored scales as they fight, but it's over quickly. Caide clawing at it once more before it scurries off into the bushes.

You look over at Dace, about to scream a warning to the scarlet Fae, but before you can, a you feel a pain in your flank. You hiss, turning to face your attacker. Before you can so much as swipe your claws it, it leaps forward, kocking your head with its tail. You see stars as you hit the ground, dizzy and disoriented.

A flash of orange and brown, and Caide has it under his massive claws. It writhes, hissing and snapping before he kicks it back into the brush with his tail.

When you wake up, you can feel the bump in your head. You look at Caide, blinking away your grogginess. Dace is asleep close by, his purple wings tucked over his face. You remember being attacked by the Familiars, but that you hadn't won your own fight. You huff.

"You're going to want to rest." Caide says, taking a glance at you. "We're going to be doing more training." Was... that what Caide thought training was? What were you supposed to gain from being knocked out by some little creature? Though... you did have to admit, maybe in some weird way, you did feel a little stronger.

You know you just woke up, but sleeping doesn't sound too bad.

The two days that follow are full of much the same- being attacked by Familiars that call the forest, which Caide told you was called the Mire, and Caide fighting them off. Soon, you're able to join the fight as well, though the creatures aren't nearly as afraid of you as they are Caide.

Soon. You're able to swipe at the creatures enough that they back off. Dace can avoid the talons of a Kamaitachi, his small, nimble form giving him an advantage, and soon, he, as well, is able to cast a pretty mean minor spell, which can spook off most more timid creatures.

Seemingly impressed with your progress, Caide motions for you to follow, taking to the sky.

You come back to the Clan a new spring in your step. You feel more confident, stronger, more ready.

"_______," The Leader says, motioning towards a spellcircle. "It is time for you to serve the deity, and join the Exalted." Exaltation? For you?

You're puzzled, but you can't refuse. To directly serve a Deity is an honor. And to think that you have been chosen for such an honor... it's hard to believe.

You step into the circle, the Runes of the Clan's Element beginning to swirl around you. You take one last look back at Caide, and you swear you see him smile at you as the magic envelops you.

Sorry it gave me an idea and I had to
I'll probably edit this later to adapt into some lore

Can't you hear the bells singing along?
You all hear it on the radio
Can't you see the hero coming home?
