Ever since the eye update I have absolutely no connection to the game (the two don't correlate each other)

And I've taken a break but nothing- I don't know if it's because of my intense grinding I've done or what but it's just draining. I miss my babies :(

yep, same here... i feel like there isn't much to do, but taking a break doesn't help :/

@xev Exactly!

The game has gotten boring and I have absolutely no drive to do anything :(

I've been taking a backseat on FR for a little bit, mostly because I have other things going on. I do my dailies and maybe stare at some of my dragons for a while. I still count that as playing, though there's been some distance.

Don't push playing as you'll only come to resent it. Nature fest is coming in a few days so taking a break from the Coliseum if you've been grinding a ton lately would be good to recover. The anniversary is also coming up in a couple of weeks (wow?!) and things are always exciting around that time, so you may feel yourself being drawn in again.

There are some points where FR doesn't have a lot going on, and that's okay. We all can't be doing things all the time (though I wish there were more monthly or even frequent events so there could be more set dates to look forward to), so sometimes it's a bit quiet.

@hoy
I wouldn't force myself to play the game if that's how you feel. I took a hiatus a bit of while ago due to boring myself out. Thankfully if you're gone long enough (40 days min I think?) the site auto feeds the dragons to help you return to the game.

Maybe you could visit the Greenskeeper Hub and check out the activities? Most of them aren't open yet but will be when the fest arrives. I usually participate in those, which are fun to do alongside Coli.

I only get burnouts from coli grinding or fairgrounds for a long time, everything else keeps my attention. If you need breaks or a hiatus that is fine to refresh your mind and motivation

I sometimes feel like that but small breaks where I only stop by to feed my dragons and MAYBE incubate or earn some treasure seem to help. A lot of the time a new update or a holiday will be what gets me back into the game 100% until I need another small break.

Maybe it's just the lack of updates/other stuff going on. I find I'm most interested in FR when we have new stuff that I like, or a fest to keep me grinding (unless I don't like anything from the fest). It might be worth it to take a little break and come back for Greenskeeper or the anniversary to see what we'll get there.

I've never taken a hiatus, but they say that taking a short hiatus is good for getting back into the game. If you're losing interest, it might not help to force yourself to get into the game. Something I would suggest is waiting for the nature fest, because then there's something to do, but if you're really burned out, just take a break! FR is good in making it easy to get back into the game once you take a hiatus. I myself am finding FR a little less fun myself, but that's because of the lack of activity in the forums. Perhaps you'll be more interested when the whole community's in hype mode?
