Every time we got Ancient hints (aside from Veilspun but we knew what that looked like), I always guessed Earth.
And now the one time I guessed Lightning, it turns out to be Earth.

Edgar's from Wind... Fire dragons are required for best usage of blasting powder... Hopefully more'll be revealed when we reach further milestones [emoji=normal eyes size=1][emoji=normal eyes size=1]

Water: Weaken the rocks with water blasts
Earth: Strong bois
Wind: Blow away the rocks
Plague: Infect the in-between rocks to make then stick
Light: For some extra lightning
Fire: FIRE IN THE HOLE!
Ice: Could break down rocks like breaking down ice
Lightning: Spark up any machinery that will be needed
Nature: Could probably make sure the land is stable while digging
Shadow: Tar. Duh.
Arcane: May need a bit of magic to stop any falling rocks
